Set was roughly...
Can Can Summer Fall Sound Wolf Kidult Man New Song (or at least I didn't recognise it) Cowboy George I'm Not From Bury I've Been Duped Psykick Dancehall 1969 (Stooges cover - aborted) Reformation Good set - a bit more "awkward" than the last time I saw them, which is a good thing. lordy look at the time, night night! -------------------- chip grind would be like digital hardcore with faster, noisier gameboy sounds. something for those fear of god fans on the dancefloor. can't be sure though... i made it up.

i did enjoy the open sores - the singer is apparently 60 - his pogoing waned towards the end of the set, and he had to sneak off stage for a blast of his asthma inhaler - but all very entertaining.
the fall sound was pretty poor, at one stage the pa gave up the ghost completely and the only sound was leaking out of the foldback. sat just behind frank skinner, who seemed to be enjoying himself. hats off the front row lunatic who gyrated across seats A 2-9 for most of the fall set. and fall fans drank the bar dry - all the beer gone. -------------------- |

I suspect he has a yet to be diagnosed medical condition. The set list said 1969/Reformation so perhaps 1969 wasn't aborted merely that they merged. Couldn't make out the name of the unknown track. Strange venue, thoroughly enjoyed though. Particularly the meandering around Greenaway and tangling up the mic with Greenaway's mic stand, and being totally oblivious to it all. Eleni mouthed a thank you to me at the end of the set for rescuing the batteries from the thingymagig that fell off her keyboard -------------------- Burrows

new song contained the reported title of the new album, tho' I think he actually said "your future, our clutter".
Also, the lines from the backdrop "Unknown Knowledge, Unknown footage, Unknown facts" were repeated in one song, tho' memory is clouded as to whether it was that one or one of the other unreleased songs. Could've sworn I saw Jimmy Page in the Thai Place, beforehand!?!? Is he local? Didn't see him at the venue. |

He does live in Windsor, in Michael Caine's old "gaffe". -------------------- "Never in our full life can we hope to do such work for tolerance, justice, for man's understanding of man, as now we do by accident. Our words - our lives - our pains - nothing! The taking of our lives - lives of a good shoemaker and a poor fish peddler - all! That last moment belong to us - that agony is our triumph."

White hair, indeed. On the way in my partner said "that looks like MES with a long white ponytail" (I didn't look knowing that MES doesn't have a long white ponytail). On the way out, I said, "that's Jimmy Page". Also previously saw Spurr/Greenaway/Melling in a curry house on Cricklewood Broadway before one of the Galtymore gigs and served Scanlon a pint in the White Horse in Bristol before they played the University. A propos of nothing. |

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Crazy venue to see The Fall in. Thought they were on top form myself (8th time) and actually enjoyed sitting down watching MES do whatever it is he does as opposed to standing behind the tall men

Good night - incongrous venue added to it. Watched from a box which gave a very different view.
Highlight of the night was the bloke in the front row falling over the balustrade. Mystery of the night was why was it half empty, I had trouble booking tickets due to being sold out? |

I'm listening to the upload on Dime now... the new song is Sloppy Floor - already played a couple of times at recent shows.

I've just been playing the recording of this show twice in a row. It really shows they were in the studio as the new songs now sound far more developed than before. Raises the expectations for the upcoming album even higher, whenever it will arrive.

I don't suppose a kind person could get this up on a rapidshare for those of us without Dime? I for one would be grovellingly grateful...
