Dragnet and the new single Slippy Floor which is really good Hot Cake is ok but Strangetown ????? Dunno.

BTW Exeter gig was great!

applaud.gif

Strangetown is wonderful.

Possibly the best thing The Fall have ever done.

I've not listened to the other 2 tracks.

Since CP mentioned 'Scanlon's weird chords', I immediately felt the urge to spin

"Time Enough At Last."

It is of awesomeness... always was.

Now it's LUS, all the way through, for the first time in a long time. Mostly loveable, but Brix' backing vocals on 'Hostile' are an acquired taste that I haven't yet acquired... cool.gif

Thanks for making my decision smile.gif ...I've always been a Spinetrak fan, like you were saying about Shift Work, not an album that's rated highly, though should be, for some reason an easy album to forget about, I recently did for about 6 months. ohdear.gif

Yeah, I usually gravitate towards the next album, Levitate, but LUS has some great moments. Check out MES giggling at the very end of DIY Meat, (probably because they're playing it so damn fast!)

Manchester Mojo 10th November 2009. 70 minutes! There are more and more synths and effects. And I like that.

Hamburg, Feb 13, '87. Awesome is the word.

Ad-lib during the opener, 'Firey Jack' : "Aint this fucking great?" laugh.gif

And during "C.R.E.E.P." : "He listens to The Style Council... He is a fucking idiot!!"

Glasgow, 13th November 2009. My dearest lord, what I've heard so far from the recent tour was great, but this is outstanding (haven't heard Poole yet).

Been listening to stuff from current tour over last few days but currently indulging in a bit of nostalgia with Town & Country, 12th July 1986 - an absolutely blinding show...LOUD or what!!!

I've watched it a few times, still find it hysterical as well as musically great. The way the crowd winds up the security... laugh.gif applaud.gif

London, 17th November 2009. Edirol Moshpit Mix. Pressed repeat while Reformation was on, cause I couldn't believe what I heard there.

So fantastic that I played two different recordings in a row.
