I met josef at the central train station in Copenhagen, and we took the A-train towards Hundige. Train left at 19.14 and 19.31 we went off at Brøndby Strand, out in the suburbs. Freezing cold it was, and windy.
But only 5 minutes walk later we found the venue, which appeared to be in the backyard of a private home, no less than a refurbished old tool shed of some sort. In the tool shed there's now a laundry room and a music room with the stage. The room was not larger than 5x5 metres.
The place was full around 9.
And free beer for all, there was an impressive amount of free beer.
The two stars enter the backstage area/laundry room to prepare. Suddenly Mark and Ed start playing, they do two or three tracks, it sounded great.
Not long after this they enter the stage, and the gig starts. Same set list as the day before. But after a good 30 minutes or so the sound is starting getting worse, so it is cut a bit short. Didn't matter much. Ed ended with a marvellous loud backing tape playing his Bulgarian field recordings, it was excellent stuff.
A spontaneous encore was provided backstage afterwards followed by more beer, lots of smiles, record sgnings and so on.

A very special evening.
Many thank yous to kjelfred for setting this up applaud.gif

It sure was a pleasure having you all in our house.
Such a sweet blend of nice human beings.

I wonder if this was the tiniest gig Mark ever did.
A crowd of 35 people - and the room -I guess - is around 20 m2 in total.
Anyway - we had fun - got drunk - woke up - a bit unsure if Mark had really been there - playing.....and eating pork in my kitchen and talking to my mum.... rollover.gif

Love the pic of Mark on the stylophone. We used one at an open mic night the other week. Went down well and probs made a nice change to all the usual indie boys doing Oasis covers...

Thanks a lot, Kjelfred. beer.gif

Knud Odde is fantastic, isn't he?
He's going to be at the Fall exhibition in London in May. thumbsup.gif
