A great, storming gig. The set list got mucked up a bit on the night. Mark seemed to be having trouble with one of the microphones and I think that it put him off of his stride a bit.

Annoyingly, there were three songs that weren’t done, Reformation, Carry Bag Man and Blindness.

This gig could have been twenty minutes longer!

Mind you, if it had been, then I would have had to have crawled out. Truly wonderful.

Like Hove, I thought this was a very 'workmanlike' performance.

All these new songs appear to very experimental.

MES bought a bag of 'gizmos' out on stage. None of which actually worked.

Again, the set just about sctatched 50 mins. I calculate MES to have actually been on the stage for about half of this.

Great little venue. Enjoyed it.

Solid set, seemed like every track was extended beyond it's natural finishing point though - sometimes this worked & sometimes it didn't. Kieron in particular got worked pretty hard last night. Happy overall but I'd like to hear some new material next year please.

chip grind would be like digital hardcore with faster, noisier gameboy sounds. something for those fear of god fans on the dancefloor. can't be sure though... i made it up.

Yeah solid, workmanlike would describe it for me too, MES was in good voice but seemed distracted.

My highlights; Wings and I’ve Been Duped.

Bobby Peru were good, liked the faster ones and the drummer clearly has ‘metal’ in him. I even enjoyed Safi but wish that he had done less or gone on earlier so I didn’t have to run for the train.

I had a good night all in all though

it was all a bit too high tech, trying to play a cassette player into a microphone.

Did anyone notice the thing that looked like a showerhead he has with red lights around the side? He had that in the bag as well and waved it over the mic behind Pete.

Very bizarre.

Any idea what this was?

I’ve also noticed recently that MES only targets particular knobs on the amps. He’s no sussed that he can fix the disastrous sound from the guitars soon after he’s created it. It’s not random at all.

But he’s still forgetting to put the drum mics back where they should be.

Exactly, only caught a brief glimpse but that's what it looked like to me, but as it didn't seem to do anything it's hard to be sure.

My kids would love one too but then they would drive me mad with it and I'd have to take it away from them
