Many thank's to Conway for a job well done, not a single glitch as far as I can remember.
It's interesting to note the most 'Bonus' win matches go's to,
Perverted-13
Hex-12
Slate's-11
Grotesque-10,
---------------
It might be an idea to have The Final Point's table easily accesible somewhere, for when new-comer's ask for a good place to start buying album's.

Thanks a lot for your massive efforts, Conway. thumbsup.gif

It's been a lot of fun and ended with a (rather unexpected) gripping outcome on top.

I can't really complain about the results, all my Top 6 albums (neither HEH nor PBL are among them) are in the Top 9. In other words, my tastes are pretty average, it seems.

Shame Shiftwork couldn't have made it a bit higher. cry2.gif

Still, the league was fun & can't really argue with the winner (or Missing Winner)

Yeah, Well done Conway. Its very nice to see the final table, which must be the closest anyone has ever got to a meaningful ranking of the Gruppe's studio LPs, from a fan's point of view.

Looks about right I guess, though PBL, WAFW, and Levitate are placed higher in this list than in mine. I personally think LATWT, Cerebral Caustic and AYAMW are better than their final placings too.

Otherwise, I'd say my own opinions are broadly the same as the majority.

Very entertaining event

Look Back Bore Fest.

Cheers for all the effort Conway, but compared to recent live performances (2006 -2008, and then mainly the Yanks apart from Cardiff, Newcastle and Bloomberg), the first 5 or 5 albums are better than sleeping pills. zzzz.gif

OK, I'll give you Classical.

And Winter.

But that's it alright.

Can't really argue against the top ten.

Its a shame about the low showing of The Marshall Suite, Middle Class Revolt
Are You Are Missing Winner.

Its a real shame about Reformation Post TLC.
The U.S. version is a cracker. Maybe next poll.

I was just about to post more or less the same thing.

Wished those 3 (and Frenz) were much higher up, WAFWOTF should be considerably further down - apart from that the list look allright-ish to me...

I don't post much, but I do vote in all these contents. For my two cents . . .

No surprises in the top five, or the number one.

I think that Dragnet, Witch Trials and Infotainment Scan are all over-rated.

RNFLP shoulda finished higher.

Shift-Work and Middle Class Revolt are surprisingly (and woefully) under-appreciated.

Nice work in managing such a long-term, data-intensive poll!

Yes, cheers Conway and the team. A very absorbing contest, even if I am disappointed - but hardly surprised - by the final results.

FYI on the other thread Conway said he was going to do a 2-week cup--IWS against everyone--so it's not quite over yet.

I think it was a blast. Sure I wish certain albums finished higher but whatever. You can't have 27 albums in the top 10 unfortunately.

Also funny, because lots of people here seem bored with the standard Hex, Slates, etc. being the top albums. But only recently coming here, all I ever heard from the outside world--those that even heard of the Fall, allmusic, review sites, etc.--is that the 80s were the best. Wonderful, Grace, Bend, Frenz, A-Sides. They were the best, the rest is just weird. Insiders perspective favors 1980-83 as the top. Hard to argue.

Now that we geniuses have this "definitive" list how 'bout our top 10 vs...say Rolling Stones top 10 all time albums? (kidding--we all know who'd win anyway tongue.gif )

Missed the last two weeks voting due to holiday and broken down laptop, but thanks for organising the cup Conway. applaud.gif
Well done to Killerpup for your unending promotion of RNFLP. I'm sure your efforts helped it gain it's top 10 finish. applaud.gif

Curious about Imperial Wax Solvent next year. Grotesque - I don't see it. I'll be voting more rigourously next time. Thanks!

Thanks for the poll Conway!

Hey, Grotesque fans - think it should have been number one? Well, it had the best vote difference, so it sorta kinda maybe was? wink.gif
