Oh, beyond perfect.
I loved the venue - even though they ran out of beer.
Just got home after spending three hours on a bus from Bexhill to Brighton.
Reaffirmed my love for that group.
Amazing!
Full report tomorrow.

A GENERAL bummer.... but in particular? Wish I knew. The Consortium will sort this out.

Two years, one on Dime- I am afraid to count the gigs. They have a case to themselves............

He was enjoying himself! & to our great benefit.

Fall-tinted beer goggles or not, I don't think I've seen better or at least enjoyed myself more from the beach to the top of the De La Warr to the lift home. 1000 thanks Sudost36 (is it?) & Andy.

Good to meet you plastic man & see you Sam.

Has there ever been a better Over! Over! than that? Or guest vocs Tommy Shooter?

I hope I hear this gig again ...

Great venue, great gig, even enjoyed the Safi set. But who is this Niki? Is he now part of the official line-up? Have I missed something?
Nice to see you, tobydynamik and johnnymills and others. Great pub, The Sportsman, before the gig.

A tad pissed of to be honest.
All i wanted was a quiet " coke " in The Sportsman and some sad sod had to spill the beans that it was actually BOC that was in da house.
The popular music band " The fall " and all and sundried tomms got wind of this and wadda you know......................all wanting a piece of the BOC action.
Just leave me alone.

A very pleasant evening and an unusual spot to see the Fall - took a while to warm up (lots of chin - strokers in the audience, Safi didn't even get booed), but a great finish. Not the best I've seen them but I had my money's worth & an excellent day out. smile.gif

I thought the gruppe was ok but the iconic venue didnt work for rock n roll - most of the crowd seemed to have come just to have a good old chin-stroke and the pit didnt get going until latch key kid. They should have a word with Islington Academy about selling out cos they could ha' got another 200 in easily - sorry to all those who couldnt make it.

Amusing to see the local plods out in force (even including some plain clothes characters! - what on earth did they expect??)

However it was really nice to do fish n chips and a few Peronis on the beach beforehand, with a great bunch of people. beer.gif thumbsup.gif

Mr P kicked off the mosh, then it got going.

This may have been a privincial crowd Chris, but this was far better than the Astoria.

London crowds think they know it all, where as us bumpkins just want to be entertained.

It worked for me, in a relaxed kind of way.

According to my spy at the event, present were Kirk Brandon (who used to be in Theater Of Hate and Boy George), and Grayson Perry the tranny potter (plain clothes character) and this whole kit n kaboodle had summat to do with Grayson and his exhibition of great art of c20th

Yeah, Goldilocks walked past me when I was in the pavillion - wouldn't know Kirk Brandon if I fell over him though...

We'll have to disagree on that one mate. For me the Astoria was one of the most intense gigs of recent years.

To each his own eh?
