Brilliant. Tremendous, in fact and quite possibly the best I've seen them . The band are just superb and MES was well on top of his game. Could only have been better if the bugger would stop twiddling amps for the sake of it. Make yer mind up!

Best bits - a thrilling "Mountain Energei", everything off RPTLC sounding many, many times better than on the album, Orpheo grinning like a stoned racehorse throughout, the security guard in general.

MES did seem to be needling Mr Barbato tho', as someone reported from earlier in the week.

A great show. The amp twiddling is a game which makes no difference to the ears.

See you tomorrow.

This is my first post, people, so be gentle.

The arty-video thing came on at 10:10, followed by the band at 10:30ish.

Can't remember exact order of set but was something like-

New song (Stock Replacer) into Systematic Abuse/Pacifying Joint/Mountain Energei/Fall Sound/Sparta/My Door/Hungry Freaks (I think)/Grass Grow/Over, Over/Wrong Place//Reformation/White Lightening/Blindness

Off by 11:40.

One of the best I've seen. Highlights for me were Wrong Place (due to the sheer number of people playing the same riff!) and all the Reformation stuff (agree with earlier posts, walks all over the recorded versions). Would have liked a bit more volume on the guitar and less on the keyboards, though.

Looking forward to tonight!

Superb show, definately the best I've witnessed.

Detested the audio-visual stuff beforehand - and I was looking forward to it (really). Actually wanted to throw something (and I reckon others would have joined in if I had). Glad my wife was with me as a restraining influence.

The group were top knotch and Eleni seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself - looking radiant in red polka dot outfit. We were side on at the front on her side and my wife is convinced she is pregnant!

A little Smith on the way? ohmy.gif

Glad to meet Altfish, Mr Pharmacist, Spazzy Bystander and Toby in McSorleys.

Mr P very kindly promised me a recording of the show. applaud.gif Thanks!! I will be in touch!

Wish I was going tonight.

That was actually my first Safi Sniper experience and it was everything I was promised it would be. Incredibly annoying, smart-arse wibbling of the highest order. Bloody rubbish, especially the bit where he expanded Barbara Streisand's face to make her nose even bigger. About as funny as the clap. I almost booed but there was a scary person trying to muscle in around us and I was worried it might set him off....

Safi was much better last night than in Edinburgh on Tuesday - still completely pointless though.

I thought the band were on tremendous form last night. I was stood at the back so I missed out on all the bouncy fun. Weird venue the Ferry - if you're in the wrong place, you're very removed from the action. Still like it a lot, and they'd really improved the setup for sound in the venue - no quiet corners.

Bass too quiet for Blindness at the end, but still hugely enjoyable.

More fun tonight...

Brilliant night. Because they came on a bit later than expected had a couple more pints than intended. not a good idea. Taking the car up tonight and taking a mate who's never heard The Fall before.
Last night I met a couple of guys I hadnt seen in years, we all reminisced about the six of us travelling down to the festival of the Tenth Summer in Manchester in a wee car.
If you're reading this, Alan and Graeme, it was good to see you and I hope my drunken shouts of "We are The Fall" didnt hurt your ears too much!
Last nights set was excellent and if they change it around I dont know what I would want dropped from the setlist. Bring on tonight!

wonder what Rob has done to incur Mark's wrath...

it makes me recall that interview with Ben after leaving where he said you're golden for the first year then the second year you're a piece of shit. looks like MES is a couple of months early.

its good to hear everyone is enjoying the tour tho, can't wait for Jilly's.

I just can't help thinking that "Senior Twilight Stock Replacer" sounds like a Half Man Half Biscuit song title

Child Protection authorities can intervene/do a risk assessment in the UK before a child is born.
It would be well recommended

I have a load of pictures from both nights, no quality control, I'm just posting the lot. They will be coming up slowly as it takes a while for them to upload to Photobucket.
