Looks good.
I like the White Lightening instead of Mr Pharmacist switch. (Or is it White Line Fever?)

No, it was White Lightning

"50-year old man" is set to become a bit of a collectors item, me thinks.

Sorry - I wasn't implying that you might have got it wrong - I couldn't remember whether Mr Pharm was in the list or not (and it didn't occurr to me to look).
I was singing White Lightening to myself a couple of days ago. Great song. The Big Bopper wwas a bad loss.

50 year old man sounds great. I love the way he can pull stuff like that out - I mean, just the fact that he's thought about it.

This pic reminds me of a lot of Fall concerts I have seen. The backs of people's heads. Good pic.

This was a very good gig. The group looked - dare I say it - comfortable with each other last night. MES was in a fine mood and there was a palpable sense of enjoyment coming from the stage. I'm sure some photo's will go up later, but this was also the best dressed Fall line up I've seen for a while (cos that's what I go for - the clothes)!

Fall Sound was an early highlight, as was suprisingly Sparta. They seem to have tweaked it around yet again & it now sounds less of a thrash than before. The Wright Stuff was interesting as well, I wasn't sure if this would work out live but it makes a pleasant change of style and tempo. Good to see White Lightning back in and Pharmacist out (at last!).

I'd gone to get my coat after Blindness
so 50 Year Old Man was a nice surprise - as Mike points out probably going to be one for the collectors though. Then it was back off down the motorway (what a crap night to be out on the roads!) & finally hit the hay about 3am - worth every mile though.........

Overall I'd say that whatever your opinion on RPTLC, Now is the time to get out & see the Fall live experience - this is a better live proposition than we have had for many years & who knows what things might be like in another 12 months?

Nice to put some more faces to names last night, cheers chaps - hope you all had a good time

Haven't been to a Fall gig for about 12 years but really enjoyed last night. The gig was filmed by two professional cameras, one on the mixing desk and the other from the side of the stage. Frank Skinner was there and I saw the camera crew interviewing him in the bar

Here is a short clip I took on my camera phone of '50 Year Old Man'

Got agree with BBB. Fantastic gig. A bit more grungy, maybe due to extra guitar, but a total blinder. Best drumming in many years.

And the weather driving back, nightmare. It was like a waterslide for 130 miles.

Great night. Battered bruised and cut. Stand/Jigging at the front and bounced around a bit. Group looked like they enjoyed it. Great to be given the mic by MES to sing during Blindness. Will put some pics up if I can work out how to do it.

applaud.gif Great gig. Fallgruppe were a bit late coming on, and went off briefly after wrong place (i think), but the sound was excellent. Particular highlights were sparta, wrong place, fall sound, hungry freaks, and an encore that consisted of a song about ' a fifty year old man', with mes in good spirits and joining in!

I'll probably got to another one on this tour given such a strong opening gig.

Hi to Ian S, hope you got back ok
