It shows a walk that goes through Wicca via about twenty old stiles. We'll definitely be going there on the next sunny day we get. thumbsup.gif

That's known as The Coffin Path. If you walk down there from Zennor, heading for St. Ives, you can turn left towards the sea (I think that's at Wicca) and then come back to Zennor along the cliffs. Bugger - if I hadn't split up with my missus we'd have been staying near there right now sad.gif Go to The Gurnard's Head for lunch or dinner if you get the chance - it's ace.

Thanks, Davey and Shrander. I wasn't starting to think I'd imagined it, but I hadn't been able to find it on maps, and I'd never been back there either (probably never will, now). Anyway, it's nice to have it confirmed.

(We stayed in the cottage that B Humphries stayed in. It was owned by the family of the bloke with us, and his dad was a school friend of Humphries'. We played a lot of Cheat (three boys - me, my brother and the Australian bloke: and Vlad, my dog, who guarded the cottage from her flower bed bed on top of the wall), I read a fair bit of Georges Simenon, we had long walks along the cliffs (with seals following us in the water) and smoked a lot of fags. A good holiday.)

It seems that most people who visit Cornwall (even the ones who just sit on St Ives beach all day) have very fond memories of it and plan to return one day. I think they want to recapture an undefinable something (a feeling?) which is peculiar to this place. I love cornwall very much. wub.gif

This is one of a pair of stones called The Pipers you can just see the other Piper in the next field. I think these are the tallest standing stones in Cornwall.

Did the bloke with his back to us have a little drum with him?

That's right:
1. They were smoking dope
2. One of them called me "Man"
3. Purple Trousers
4. One of them was playing the bongoes

HIPPIES! girly.gif

I bet they all work in I.T. during the week though. dry.gif

I think it's a bloke I know called Ken laugh.gif

He introduced me to the Butthole Surfers applaud.gif

He doesn't work in IT, or indeed in anything.

Here they are finally. It was a bit of a dull day for photography though.

it's very phallic and sexual, isn't it?

I suddenly had a flashback to more 'flusher' times and thought, hmm could go to Cornwall soon and take pics, then remembered it costs money rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

an incentive to work hard and prosper i guess... devil2.gif

She had a bad case of piles, clearly

are you trying to suggest it was a monument to anal sex? ohmy.gif

Seriously tho, cave paintings, white men on hills, were sexual by nature, who's to say this monument isn't. It seemed so to me.

Why do you want to know where I live? Are you serial killers? sad.gif

There are no Fall fans in cornwall apart from me. I checked. That's why the band haven't played here since 1807. Mousehole Male Voice Choir are meant to be very good though sad.gif sad.gif
