Sweat dripped down the side of Chaos' face, as he regretted climbing into this car. They would lose. He knew they would lose; They were second in line, they were in a two seater, he couldn't drive, and worst of all, he, the dumbfuck, hadn't checked the number. 13. Fuck you, fate. And as they would lose, she would blame him. She might pass it off, she might shrug and say, "It was just a race," but she would remember. And he would have let her down, his... his sister. He would have let her down. And suddenly, the light went green. Without thought, without consideration, he slammed his foot on the pedal... ... And rammed into the back of Sam's car.

Sam was starting to notice a trend; humiliation and hurting. The tremendous force behind Chaos's and Grey's Kart rammed said kart into Sam and Ginger's, riding up their bumper and sending Sam hurling forward. The seat belts that should have restrained him snapped off, letting him be subjected to the entirity of the momentum. Skidding to a stop on his side, Sam carefully picked himself up. "I'm at 0 for infinity, God. You wanna give me a slight chance of good luck?" He thought to himself. But God wasn't done with him yet; the next thing Sam saw was a fleet of Go-karts, headed right at him.
The red light quickly turned on, Chaos simply sitting there, gripping the steering wheel tightly. He half-registered Grey climbing out of the car, running to wave the other cars down, but it didn't matter, as he slipped his seatbelt off and stepped out of the kart. Once again, fate reaffirmed that he was an idiot, and made damn sure that Grey knew it well. As Chaos wallowed in regret and self-loathing, Grey ran to where Sam had landed, trying to wave the cars away. She quickly offered her hand, saying a justified "Hurry!" as the cars swerved left and right around them.

Sam gratefully clasped Grey's hand and proceded to make his way off the track just as a barrage of backed-up go-karts burst from behind them. He saw Ginger get lost in the confusion, meaning she was stuck for a goo twenty minutes to half-hour, depending on the drivers. God, you are close to redeeming yourself, Sam thought. All he had to do was find Amy and...
And what?
He hadn't thought that far ahead. But he wasn't going to miss taking advantage of the situation. "Thanks a lot," Sam said appreciatively ((sp?)) to Grey "I was nearly made into kart-kill."
"No problem," Grey said, pulling him up. "Sorry about that..." she muttered, looking back towards Chaos, seeing only an empty kart. She turned, looking around. "Chaos?" she said, seeking the spikes that made what he called hair, but she couldn't see over the crowd that was quickly forming. She looked back at Sam, before moving in, looking for her brother.

Sam took another look around. Amy was nowhere, almost like she disappeared. With this in mind, Sam figured he should help Grey look for Chaos, since she had just saved his ass from being a pancake. He kept his eyes peeled for the spikes of hair to rise from the sea of heads like a shark's dorsal fin, but to no avail.
It had been quite a while since all of them had left the movie theater. Once Sam, Grey, and Chaos had left for the amusement park, Silva returned home. As for Amy, she took to the road and wondered across the city, until she came upon one of her friends' house.
--------------------
"Hey!" She yelled, while looking around the door to see if anyone was home.
A light flickered on inside, and there were footsteps that sounded out. Soon, an older male of twenty-one and cool blue hair appeared at the entrance. "Can I help you?" he asked, rubbing his eyes.
"Yea... Uhm... Hey Drake, can you give me a lift?" "Wha-Do you know what time it is?!" "It's not that late..." "Not that late?! What are you--"Drake turned to a clock near the door that Amy was pointing at--"Oh. Pfft. Fine."
--------------------
Long story short, he dropped her off at the amusement park that they were visiting. "Wow. This place is even bigger than Disneyland!" she said, upon nearing the place.

Seeing as he couldn't see much over the Great Wall of People, Sam slipped quietly from Grey's side and wormed his way to the front, keeping an eye out for Chaos in case he popped up. Having made it to the front door of the Speedway, Sam's heart leapt high and fell hard when he saw Amy in the company of some older guy. Looks like a college guy, Sam thought to himself...and then a voice in the back of his head started speaking: So what if Amy's with another guy? Like she'd go out with you. All this time her and you even being in the same vicinity was just a coincidence. She doesn't like you; Hell she doesn't even know you exist. Just go home and sit in front of your computer screen with nothing but you and your misery to keep you company
No. Not this time. Screw you.
Sam's mental battle was fought, with Sam as the winner. He took a deep breath, rubbed his blood-filled ears, and walked out the door.
Amy looked around the crowd happily, as Drake accompanied her from behind. He really didn't like amusement parks, but didn't like the thought of Amy wandering around one, either. As she continued searching in wonder at the rides and food stands all around, her eyes landed on where Sam had just walked out. "Hey!!!" she yelled out, waving at him.

The sudden greeting threw Sam off, even if he did just mentally prepare himself to talk to her. As he walked up to her, he started to sweat, and made him even more nervous. "Uh, h-hey Amy. I'm r-really glad you made it!" One day, he was really going to have to fix that stutter.
"Hm..." she frowned, "You really ought to do something about that stutter, Sam." After getting a quick nod from Drake, Amy grabbed Sam's hand ran forward, as if she had a destination. "So, c'mon! What are you waiting for?"
Once the two were out of sight, Drake turned and began for his own tour of the park. "Pfft. Nerds."

Ginger felt dejected. This always happened when she tried to go out on a date with her boyfriend. Some Sam would disappear and she was always trying to find him. She kind of thought of it like a game: a Scavenger hunt, and the prize was a kiss from her oh-so-beautiful beau. Sam made the wierdest noises when they hugged or kissed, kind of like a squeaking noise. She called him her little pet mouse; He called her a giant Ginger cat waiting outside his Mousehole. He has such a way with words... She thought dreamily as she rounded a corner and slammed into another driver. Oh well, her internal monologue continued, He'll be back in my arms before I know it...
First up on Drake's string of rides would be, incidentally, the Speedway. Although he had just seen Sam exit from the Speedway, and had prejudged it to be a "Nerds Only" zone, Drake always wondered what the world of fake driving was like. Walking through the large crowds of people and pass the ever annoying ticket collectors--yes, the Speedway did require more tickets to enter--he came upon... an endless line of even more people. He took this time to relax and wake himself a bit more, while turning his focus to the current track of racers. "Hm. These people can't drive," he thought to himself.

Ginger finally got off the track, after anhilating every other driver on the road, and stepped off, accidentally bumping into some guy standing at the back of the line. He was older, maybe early 20's, and had odd blue hair... "Oh, I'm sorry!" Ginger said happily as she went pass, searching for Sam. Finally, she spotted him running past the skeeball ramps. But who was that with him? Some girl, some other girl, was holding onto her Sam?! Her boyfriend?! She would teach her to mess with Ginger Lynn and her heart! "Oh Saaaam~!" She called out.
As the last group of people finished and were walking out of the Speedway, Drake turned, only to bump into a younger girl. "Oh, I'm sorry!" she said, although he had noticed that she was still smiling. A bit after this meeting, when he finally sat himself down into a cart, Drake lifted his arm and looked at the wallet that rested in his hand. "Ginger Lynn, eh?"
Meanwhile, Amy had dragged Sam halfway across the amusement park when suddenly, a voice rang out from somewhere around them. "Oh Saaaam~!" She stopped to listen, but shrugged it off and continued pulling him along.

Tsubasa wandered about the park aimlessly, trying to figure out what to do next. It wasn't too late, so he had some time left. What to do, what to dooooo... Still indecisive, he bought himself some chips and sat down on a bench by the Speedway. Casually munching on one chip at a time, he took in the people around him. Nobody too conspicuous... One teenage guy was exiting the Speedway and was greeted by a girl and her... brother? boyfriend? It's not like I have anything better to do... Tsubasa seemed to recognize them, but couldn't recall their names. For the time being, he just sat and watched. Once the guy and the girl initiated a conversation, the older male walked away. Probably her brother, then... The brother entered the Speedway, and another girl brushed past him on her way out. Looks like she's looking for someone... And indeed, it seemed she was looking for the same guy. Finally, their names dawned on him. Sam, Amy, and... Ginger? It seemed to him like there was some sort of rivalry for Sam's affections going on between the girls, or so he guessed. It was more interesting to think of it that way, even if that wasn't the case.
As Tsubasa waited to see what would happen, he was suddenly brought out of his reverie by a tap on the shoulder.

Spencer Jones was lounging around the Speedway, his khaki military jacket absorbing the aroma of gasoline smoke, popcorn, and sweat. He pulled his hands, covered in black, fingerless gloves, out of his deep pockets along with a deck of cards. He began shuffling the cards absentmindedly, wandering around the arcade machines, picknik tables, and trashcans when he saw a single figure sitting on a bench. Short, somewhat spiky black hair, black clothes, and the tell-tale black fingerless gloves similar to Spencer's. He walked up to the lone occupant of the bench, tapped him on the shoulder, and said "Hey, Tsubasa."

( indeed. Took you two months to reply to my post... )
Tsubasa heard a voice behind him greet him. He turned his head to see who it was, then, recognizing the individual on sight, simultaneously stood and turned to face him. "Spencer!" He smiled, glad to have some company, then shook his hand, noting with amusement the fact that they both wore fingerless gloves. "What have you been up to? Wandering aimlessly like me?" He grinned.

((Wow, it's been a while. Let's see if I can still do this...))
Spencer took the seat next to Tsubasa, shrugging his reply in the process. "Yeah, I had nothing better to do today, seeing as my car broke down a week ago. Walking distance is as far as I can go. So what about you? What's been going on?"
Sam, for the first time in a long while, was having fun. He wasn't just content, but actually happy. Right now, he and Amy were at the arcade games, with her looking on as he blasted away enemy ships in Galaga. Sam always had a fascination with old or dated things, mostly because they were from before his time and gave him a window back into any point in history. For the moment, however, he didn't want to leave this point in time. Amy was still next to him, close enough for him to smell faint traces of shampoo and body wash. This was what broke his concentration. He kamikazed into a string of three Bee Ships. "Your turn," He said, offering the joystick to her with a smile. Just as the red ball left his hand, though, a shrill cry rang out over the din: "Oh Saaaam~!"

Tsubasa munched on a potato chip, sitting back down, then replied, "Very little, actually. I've just been sitting here. 'People-watching' can be interesting, as long as the people you watch do entertaining things." Tsubasa paused, then got up and stretched his muscles. He walked over to the trash can, threw the bag (now empty save for a few potato chip crumbs at the bottom) away, then turned to face Spencer again. "...Bleh. I wish I felt like doing something."
