"Yes I rather like it." he smiles and they head for the entrance. Since the museum isn't yet opened to the public he has to let them in with his swipecard and door key.

Oh and he has a swipecard. Yeah, this guy's smooth.

It feels weird being inside a museum after (or before) hours. Di has been in closed supermarkets, bars, libraries, and once a zoo, but never a museum. At least it's reasonably warm inside.

"So where are these windows?"

[K-Squared]

He gives her a tour, shows her the sorts of displays she'd be cleaning, talks a little about how the pay periods break down bi-weekly, and then asks what she thinks.

Diane would have agreed if he'd asked her to stand on one foot on the roof and only paid her once a month. But then again, she is a little desperate.

"Sounds great," she says, honestly. There are more thrilling jobs in the world than cleaning display cases, but there are also worse ones. And there's always unemployment as an alternative, if you're looking for threats.

[K-Squared]

"Right then, let's go up to the front office and start your paperwork, then Marcie can enter you in for payroll when she gets here." Marcie was the museum's receptionist and secretary, she was at least old enough to be Hugh's mother, and had a soft spot for him.

[mouse]

It will be doubtless reassuring to find out that Hugh is (probably) not screwing all of the staff.

"Okay," Diane says. "Hey, thanks. This is really sweet of you, y'know."

Maybe she'll actually be able to pay the rent. Or maybe she'll go right back to squandering her money on cigarettes, booze and lipstick. But it'll be good either way.

Currently Hugh isn't screwing any of the staff, but that changes on a day to day basis.

"Sweet, if you say so."

[mouse]

Diane grins, bites her lip slightly. "Or it would be if you didn't have ulterior motives."

[K-Squared]

"You're possitive I do then?" he grins back.

[mouse]

If she wasn't already sure that grin would have proved it. "I'd lay money on it, if I had any."

[K-Squared]

"More like ulterior hopes, but I won't do anything that you don't want."

[mouse]

Damn straight he won't. He doesn't want her crazy cross-dressing big brother figure slash ex lover slash roomie to kick his ass, now does he?

Diane fixes Hugh with a stern stair. "Well, you're just gonna have to wait until I'm through with the displays."

Work first then play, right Hugh?

He smiles. "I'll wait till you're off the clock." he promises.

[mouse]

"Well then, I better get to it."

Time flies when you're cleaning glass, apparently.

"Janitor's closet?"

[K-Squared]

He shows her where it is.
