DDNT Rules

Welcome Students to DDNT,
We all hope you are having an enjoyable year at Hogwarts so far, but we must first read our rules to have the best time as we can.

POSTING:

- This is Harry Potter -related board - so we don't discuss here about Star Wars, right?
-One thing you should never forget and Mods/Admins will always be looking out for is SPAM (Silly Pointless Annoying Messages) which is.
. Posts that are 1-2 lines long
. Point less like �That�s great!�
. Posting a reply when one isn't necessary
. Double posting, just edit your post PLEASE!
. Don�t use words like �2 kewl 4 u, g2g, b4 dat� ect.
. Don�t post in DiSoRtEd TeXt, its very annoying and hard to read.
. No shouting! Don�t type whole posts IN JUST CAPS.
- If a post does not belong in the right forum it will be moved.
- Do not create unnecessary new topics, if suitable one exists; Reply there instead.
- Don�t Bash, swear, flame, post sexist, racist, hatred related topics/pictures. It will not be tolerated on DDNT, this is a friendly board and we hope it stays that way

SIGNATURE GUIDELINES:

- Signatures should be some way Harry Potter -related or reflecting the users (=You) character on DDNT. Remember; Norbert ate Frodo last year!
- Signature�s should never have any sex, hatred, swearing, bashing in them.
- Animated, blinkies, still banners are all accepted. Try to avoid very complicated animations, as the size of graphics will increase the page load time - some of our users are still using slow telephony modems.
- Maximum total size of sigantures that is allowed is 500x250.
- Text should always never have any sex, hatred, swearing, bashing in it.

AVATAR GUIDELINES;

- Avatars must be some way Harry Potter -related. There's no spoon.
- Avatars can be animated
- Size of avatars is automatically adjusted to 100x100 pixels
- Same general guidelines as with signatures applies here also.

SORTING RULES:

- Please don�t ask to be in a certain house, our sorting hat places you where you belong, remember its not our actions who make us who we are - its our choices.
- You should post in ONLY the sorting thread, which a link can be found at the top of your page.
- If you read the rules of sorting on the sorting thread and understand it and answer it the right way then you will be sorted right away, if not try reading over the rules again.
- Do not ask to be changed houses, because nobody at Hogwarts ever changes houses.

DDNT STAFF

- Our staff here at DDNT is chosen after long research on the member; the members are not picked randomly.
- Please never ever Owl (PM) us asking if you can me a member of the staff, it will be ignored straight away and you will have known that you didn�t read the rules and might just give you a warning.
- Being apart of the DDNT staff is a great honor and is not something that should be wasted.
- You must remember you must be helpful and follow the rules it is very important to use that you show qualities that make you a perfect person for this position.

WARNINGS:

- Every member (Except Headmasters/Headmistresses) have a warning count bar, where only headmasters can adjust. WE can suspend your count or posting abilities or ban you for good after 10 warnings. But we can also take away warnings.
- You might also get a Owl (PM) from one of the staff member telling you what you have done wrong.

MEMBERS/YOU:

-Your user name can only be changed if you�re a staff member or got permission from a headmaster/headmistress and change it for you; they are the only ones that can do this.
-Members are ONLY allowed one account per person, we can find out if you have two, if we do find out you do have to one of your accounts will be banned/deleted.

RANKS:

The ranks are in order from smallest to higest.

Guest (Muggles)
Unsorted
Students (houses)
Prefects
Headmasters

The Professors are skilled teachers at DDNT classes. Any registered and sorted person with the appropiate knowledge and teaching capability can be a professor.

There is also our Unspeakables but what they do and where they are on the ranks is unknown.
