Team Koopaking

Episode one: The Koopa Bros.

The day was muggy. It was hot, but it wa also raining lightly. Lighting could be seen off in the distance. Bowser had just entered the Koopa Bros'. Fortress.
"L-lord Bowser," a random Koopa said in a nervous voice, “What brings you-"
"Don't speak unless spoken to, weakling!" Kammy was right behind Bowser. Her voice was crackly and wheezy.
"Yes ma'am," The Koopa said, bowing.
"Where are these idiots," Bowser yelled in a low, booming voice, "We were supposed to meet at my castle! I didn't want to come to some crappy fort with weakling guards!"
The Koopa stepped back a few feet and said, "They're up at the top of the fort, sir." Then the Koopa ran off and yell, "I need a new job!" Bowser and Kammy climbed all the stairs and finally reached the top. There were six Koopas, each a different color: red, black, yellow, green, blue, and orange. They all looked up s Bowser burst into the room.
"B-Bowser, s-sir! I totally forgot that you were coming, sir!" The red on said.
"Forgetting is so uncool," the black one said out loud.
"I don't have time for annoying jabbering. Red, are you taking my offer?"
"Yes Bowser," the red one still talked to him while the rest just looked. five of them put on masks the same color as their shells, green collars, and green gloves. One of them didn't though. "But we have one ho disagrees with the idea, sir. But I'm sure the operation will still-"
"Who disagrees," Kammy said in her wheezing voice. The red Koopa pointed to the orange one. He looked away, out the window.
"You know what I said about non-believers, right Orange," Bowser yelled at him.
The orange Koopa turned around with a smirk on his face. "I do in fact." He pulled out a remote and pressed a button, and jets popped out of his shell. "And I was prepared. Later." He gave a salute and jumped out the window, but the blue Koopa grabbed his legs right before the orange Koopa took off. They both were in the air, the blue Koopa still on the orange one's legs.
"I'll find you sooner or later! YOU CAN'T HIDE FOREVER!" Bowser yelled at him.
"Get off me! You're slowing me down!"
"You know I can't do that cousin." the blue one was still grasping onto the orange Koopa's leg. The koopa was wet now, though, from the rain, and the blue Koopa started to slip. "Cousin, help!" The orange Koopa thought for a second, then he flew over towards the river next to Pleasant Path. He shook his leg and the blue Koopa fell into the water.
"I'm pretty sure you can swim. Next time we meet, don't be surprised if we're on different sides!" The orange Koopa flew off south.
"Urgh... He got away. But he has a point... this stuff is a load of crap. Maybe I should run too." The blue Koopa got out of the stream and started walking towards Koopa Bros' Fortress.

Episode 2: The Mechanic.

The weather had cleared up, but it was starting to get dark. The moon was visible but the sun was still setting. Far off in the distance was a desert. The orange Koopa was currently flying over a bunch of woods, called the Forever Forest; known for it's twisting and confusing trails that sometimes seem to never end. It's cover in thick, dark trees. Normally, no sunlight is visible through the thick trees. After flying south for a while, the jets started to die out from lack of fuel. The orange Koopa fell through trees and found himself stuck. Grunting and wiggling, he finally got unrestrained from the branches and fell to the ground. he brushed himself off, and then hit the button for his jets and they popped back in.
"Great, of all the places to fall, I fall in a spooky forest where you can't see a thing, especially at night. "The Koopa went inside its shell. His voice echoed when he said, "I might as well take advantage of the situation, as I can sleep the night away. I'm exah-" But he couldn't finish his sentence because he fell asleep. he woke up a long time after words and came out of his shell. He looked around and was stunned to see that he was in a lab. It had machines and parts everywhere. There was an arcade-looking screen near a ladder. The room was lit with one bulb, and the bulb was dim. The room also smelt musty.
"Where am I," The Koopa shouted.
"You're in my lab." A wheezy voice said.
"Who... Where--"
"I am Professor Elvan Gadd. Just call me Gadd, friend or foe. Anyway, the Forever Forest is no place for a Koopa to be!"
"Yeah, but I'm not ordinary Koopa. I'm Koopaking! I'm related to the Koopa Bros. I make my own weapons and machines."
"Interesting. So do I. My latest prototype is a vacuum. A ghost-sucking vacuum! It comes in handy around here. I get boos around my lab. I'm working on a talking robot. But it only ha primary functions right now, like moving it's 'Head' piece."
"This is great and all, but could I have a map to the desert or something?" The Koopa asked in a hurry. "I'm going to go meet someone, and I'm in a hurry."
"Oh, sorry to waste your time. Ok, you are here." The professor started darwing a map. "And the plateaus are here. Hopefully you have some type of jetpack, because the fastest way to the desert from the plateaus is flying."
"That reminds me, I need fuel for my jetpack. Think you spare some?"
"I have plenty of it. I don't see why not. Now be careful out there. Those boos scare me sometimes." Gadd shook at the thought of them, then waved off at Koopaking.
"Thanks for the help, old man!" Koopaking flew off southeast towards the plateaus.

Episode 3: The Lone Bandit

It was morning. Mist was rising from the ground, so the air was foggy. Koopaking could barely see the sun through all the fog, so he had to stay on the ground. But he was now out of the forest and out at the plateaus. The breeze was light, and the air felt well with all the mist, but it was hard to breathe. Koopaking was currently on a trail call Gusty Gulch Trail, which leads to the town of Gusty Gulch, an old ghost town with torn down, broken, smashed, and cracked houses. The houses are almost the same color as the trail, which is beige. The trail is right outside of Forever Forest. The temper of the Boos in Gusty Glutch varies on the person and their mood.
Koopaking was breathing hard when he said, "Urgh... The mist is starting to hurt my lungs... it's so thick, I can barely see that windmill... Maybe I should stay in there for a while." The windmill is calling Gusty Windmill. An empty tower that used to power the once-busy town of Gusty Gulch. It also hides a secret of a near-by castle. Koopaking walks up to the castle and knocks to see if anyone is there. Nothing happens, so he opens the door. Koopaking gasps, because when he opened the door, he saw a bandit that was missing half of his left leg, his right arm was fully gone arm, and the left side of his mask above his mouth was missing. Its color was a black shirt, with light gray stripes across the bottom, and across it's one sleeve. It had a light gray hood and light gray mask. Its shoe was red. Its eye was closed. Its eye opened.
"He...lp m...e," it managed to say before its head fell the ground and its eye closed again. The words were forced out at almost a last breath. He was still breathing, but had to get help before. Koopaking turned white for a second. He never dealt with injuries at first glance well. He ran out side and started gagging, then came back in and pick up the Bandit.
Koopaking didn't care if he could see or not, he pulled out the remote for his jets and pressed the button. Koopaking flew off into Forever Forest.
"Where is that d*** Map," Koopaking was yelling at himself, "I need that map Gadd drew. Here it is... ok, left right--" Koopaking didn't finish because he ran into a tree. The Bandit fell out of his hands. "Mother f-ing tree! I have to get him to Gadd!" Koopaking reseeded his jets and picked up the Bandit. He started running and looked at the landscape. He kept running into Fuzzies. When he did, he blew fire on them and said, "I don't have the time to mess with the likes of you! Get lost!" He finally got to the lab, opened the door, and climbed down the ladder. "GADD! I need your help and parts!"
"Koopaking? Is that you? What are you-" Gadd saw the body and stopped, then said, "Oh dear... This man needs automail quickly. It's amazing that he didn't bleed to death. Where did you find him?"
"The windmill, no time to chat, and don't stand there. Go get the necessary parts."
"Right." Gadd bowed and ran off to some boxes and started cracking them open. Koopaking looked around for something soft to put the bandit on. He found the bed Gadd sleeps on and pulled off the blankets and sheets. He ripped them and tied them around the wounds of the bandit.
Gadd pulled out some metal arm and hand-looking parts from the boxes he cracked open. Gadd ran over to the bandit and put the arm next to him.
Koopaking was rumbling through Gadd's kitchen for a cup and some water. He wet a piece of the cloth with water and also poured some in a cup. He rushed back into the dim lab with the supplies and put the cloth on the bandit's head and covered up the hole in the mask. Koopaking also gave the bandit some water.
Gadd opened a few more boxes and pulled out leg, nee, feet, and eyepieces. He placed them next to the spots that they go on.
"This will be... Hard," Gadd managed to say, " Maybe we should wait for him to wake before we do this? He might not-"
"No, he was in pain. He asked for help. I can tell he doesn't want to stay like this for the rest of his life. We have to help him."
"Very well," E Gadd said with a sigh, "We will fix him up. But he will owe me later. I can't just give away everything I have. I was planning on using these pieces for my new robot."
"I wouldn't worry, he's a bandit after all."
They started working on attaching the robot pieces to the bandit's leg first. They had to connect every single nerve to the automail. None of the pieces could be missing, or the arm wouldn't work. One bolt or washer gone and it would be just the shoulder link left.
"The eye will probably be the hardest part," Koopaking said, passing Gadd a needle, "Maybe I should sit out on it.
"I agree. You can watch, but not help. I have to get everything right, or he's gone."
Once they finished the leg, they went to the leg and eye. When Gadd was finished with the eye, Koopaking flew off to Toad Town and bought a shoe, a sleeve, and a pant leg. He also threw in a coat to match the shirt. Gadd sewed the sleeve and Koopaking did the pants. Then Koopaking slid on the shoe and put the coat on around him.
"I hope he remembers what happened. I'd like to know what horrid creature would do something so intense," Gadd said in a serious tone.
"The wounds looked like cuts. And they were perfectly straight. No jagged lines or anything. And there was not burnt skin, so it wasn't fire or Lava."
"Yes, I noticed that too. Except the eye, it almost looked like something broke-“
"Where... Am I,” The bandit said, voice hoarse.

Episode 4: The Big Secret

"What's all... this... I feel like my arm and leg are-" The Bandit made a gasp, "THEY'RE MISSING!" He started panicking "TUBBA'S SECRET! IN THE WELL! HE'S HIDING HIS HEAR-"
"Calm down, now! Let me explain what I saw," Koopaking said, stopping the bandit from fainting. "I saw you on the ground in the old Windmill. You were sticking halfway out of the well! I grabbed you and brought you into Forever Forest where my new friend here, Elvan Gadd, helped me fix you up. We have given you artificial limbs. And we also fixed your cloths. But we want to know what happened, so please, calmly tell us what happened, or what you remember."
"Well... It all started when I was visiting all the places of the Mushroom Kingdom. Me and my buddy were traveling to Gusty Gulch.
We saw some Boos and Clubbas fighting. Me and him tried to break them up. The Boos just left to Gusty Gulch, but the Clubbas were mad at us for stopping them from kicking butt.
So they took me to the windmill and locked me in there, but they took my friend somewhere else. I think they took him back to Tubba's Castle.
Since I was lock inside, I explored the windmill. I went through some tunnels and encountered some Goombas. I just ignored them and kept going. There ere signs that said 'GO BACK.' 'BEWARE.' 'STAY AWAY.' 'GO BACK NOW.' I ignored them. I kept going and entered the last room, where I found a heart on a rock. The heart had eyes and could talk. Although there are plenty of weird things around here, it scared me. Anyway, I asked what he was, and it asked if it knew the secret. I wanted to poke around with the guy, so I bluffed and said yes. He challenged me to a fight, and I was foolish enough to accept.
I started out with the simple 'steal your stuff' technique. He didn't have anything, so it was a waste. He started charging up for an attack, but I ignored it and just jumped on it. The attack didn't do much to it, but his was devastating... He used little tiny heart things to attack me, and they flew across my arm and leg like termites on wood.
I crawled out before they could do anything else, but the goombas were still there. Even if they were deranged, they helped me up to the spring and got me up the well, where I cracked my mask. Then you came by not too long after and rescued me."
"Interesting story, E Gadd said with thoughts in his mind, "So that's why you didn't bleed to death. Good thing he found you or you wouldn't be here."
"I need to ask", Koopaking urged, "Who are you?"
"I'm Jack D., the Lone Bandit. People call me JD for short."
"Well, you owe Gadd here a bunch of money for the Autoamail."
"So that's what this stuff is called... Why a I in so much pain right now?" JD winced when he said this.
"We had to connect every nerve to this metal. If one thing wasn't connected right, the whole arm, leg, or eye wouldn't be working." Gadd looked down at his shoes and his sleeve. "Oh, and you also owe Koopaking for the cloths."
"So your name's Koopaking? Aren't you an owner of the Koopa Bros. Fortress?"
"Used to be. I'm not anymore. I flew out on a deal with Bowser. Literally."
"It seems Bowser is up to something," Gadd said, sighing. "Maybe I should give you two this Game Boy Horror. You can communicate with me. I'll be looking at you on that screen over there." Gadd was pointing over at the arcade-game looking machine.
"But there's only one," Koopaking said questionably. "I need to get to Dry Dry Desert soon."
"Yeah, and I need to go to Tubba's castle to retrieve my friend and find out what's going on.
"Well," E Gadd started, "I would offer one of you my bed so that one of you can do your business and come back and follow the other, but it's been ripped apart to be used for bandages. Looks like you'll have to go together."

Episode 5: The Castle

Koopaking and JD came back outside the Lab in Forever Forest. The day was still light, but the sun had already passed overhead and was halfway down. The sky was cloudy from all the fog in the morning, but there was no sign of rain or thunder. JD was looking at his automail and thought about what was to come.
“You alright, man,” Koopaking asked. “I hope you feel better… I installed some cool stuff in your arm and leg you know.” Koopaking was trying to give the arm and leg thing a good side. “You have a cool wave cannon that your arm can morph into. And your leg has hover jets. How cool is that?” JD didn’t say anything, and Koopaking stopped smiling. “Well, we need to get you to Tubba’s Castle. And I need to get to the desert. The fast we do this, the easier it will be. Now let’s go.” Koopaking grabbed JD and exposed his jets. He blasted out of the woods and flew towards Tubba’s Castle.
Tubba’s Castle was past Gusty Gulch Trail and Gusty Gulch itself. Gusty Gulch Trail ends right at Tubba’s castle, although the east of the trail isn’t walked on much. The east side is between Gusty Gulch and Tubba’s Castle.
Koopaking could see now, since there was no more fog and it was the afternoon. He saw some Hyper Goombas, Goombas that are much more powerful than regulars ones, and can charge their attacks, although they can be taken down easily. He also saw some Hyper Clefts. There were dead trees and small dead plants on the ground where Forever Forest used to stretch out until all the Gulch and Tubas castle came along.
Koopaking sped faster to Tubba’s castle. It was easy to see with nothing in the way, like houses and buildings. Koopaking was in the air.
They were almost there when Koopaking asked, “You alright, JD?”
JD sighed and replied, “I’m just trying to get over the fact that I may never get fixed. I might always be like this. There’s no way of returning to normal.”
“Yeah, but now you’re an unstoppable machine. You’re cool! You have new powers! Sure, the stuff will take time to get used to, but you’ll like it after a while.”
“You’re saying this because you don’t know what it’s like!”
“Yeah, but- Are you alright?” Koopaking saw JD put his hand to his face and held it there.”
“I’m still a little weak from all the blood loss… I’ll still fight if I have t though.”
Koopaking arrived at the castle and stopped at the door. He looked at it for a second, and JD looked too. The door was 5 times the size of them. It was huge.
“I wonder what could use a door that huge,” Koopaking said, still staring at the door.
“I don’t care, as long as I still get my revenge on them for locking me in the windmill.”
“But the door wasn’t locked when I came by,” Koopaking said, just realizing that he had opened the door to the windmill. Maybe someone had-“ But Koopaking was stopped by the door swinging open and a guardbot; a large Goomba head looking creature that hovers and has three tentacles that hang down under its head so it can grab intruders; was hovering over them.
“Leave now,” it said in a one-toned voice. “We have no room for a Koopa and Half-Bandit.” It slammed the door and Koopaking had to hold back JD from breaking through and killing the Guardbot.
“HALF-BANDIT!? STUPID BOT! LET ME AT HIM!”
“Hold up there JD! Don’t get way over your head!” Koopaking was struggling to hold him back. “Maybe we can find a way in up there.” Koopaking pointed up there, and basted up to the top. He let go of JD when he did this. “Hey, JD, test out your hover jets! Come up here!”
“Ok… How do I access them?”
“Just think about the jets and they’ll start up. Also, it helps if you spread out your arms.” JD thought for a moment, then they heard a strange sound and before Koopaking knew it, JD was up on the ledge with him. “Wow, those are some nice jets! And the good thing is, they’re powered by food, not fuel.”
Koopaking and JD entered a window they saw on the ledge. They saw a huge bed and a chest next to it.
“Man this person must be HUGE.” Koopaking said, his eyes wide.
JD went to the door of the room, which was the same size as the front door, and peaked out. A large blue monster with orange lips and hair, and a purple shell on it’s back with yellow spikes, was coming towards them…
“HIDE,” JD said quickly, and Koopaking jumped behind the bed where the chest was. JD jump behind it too just in time for the monster not to notice when he came in.
The door swung open. The monster yawned and went to sleep on its bed.
“Let’s go,” Koopaking said, and JD nodded. They went out into the hall. It was more of a bridge than hall, because you could see the two floors below you too.
JD and Koopaking saw the front door they stood at earlier, and they also saw that the Guardbot were down there, chatting with each other. They overheard one saying, “I saw some visitors. I shooed them away because it’s Tubba’s nap time.”
“That huge monster was Tubba,” Koopaking asked in a whisper.
“Yeah, he’s big, isn’t he?” Maybe we should listen in and see if they blab about my friend.”
“I hear we have a new prisoner. They say he’s smart and tricky”
“Maybe we should keep an eye on him.”
“You mean the Clubbas should. It’s not out job.”
“Good point. We don’t patrol the basement.”
“THE BASEMENT,” JD said in excitement.
“What was that?”
“Let’s go check.”
“I think we’d better go.” Koopaking said, glaring at JD as he had his hand over JD’s mouth. They ran to the other side of the bridge and entered a new hallway.

Episode 6: Fight for Life

Tubba’s Castle was the same color as the village and the dirt of Gust Gulch: Beige. It had wood paneling and wooden doors as well. The hallway was a dark brown wood color, plus the occasional green rug in the middle of the hallway. There were also small doors for the Guardbots and Clubbas to get into. Tubba probably wouldn’t fit in them though. The hallway Koopaking and JD were just in was a large foyer with 2 stories of bridges across them; One leading to a hallway, and one leading to Tubba’s room. There were no stairs in the foyer. They were only on both wings of the castle: The North and South wings. The wing that leads to the basement was the North wing; the way Koopaking and JD were heading.
Koopaking saw some Clubbas, so he grabbed JD and pulled him into a room until they went by. Clubbas are smaller versions of Tubba Blubba. They have green skin, fat bodies, white hair, and orange lips. They don’t have spiky shells, but they do have spiky clubs. They sounded like soldiers when they went by, by saying, “Hut two three four!” One of the Clubbas noticed something and opened the door and alerted the other guys to come in.
“Oh s***,” Koopaking and JD both said in unison. They ran out the door and started attacking. Koopaking reseeded into his shell and caught on fire from the friction of the speed he was going, then started shooting himself towards the Clubbas, setting them on fire. Two ran into each other because their hair was on fire. A Clubba Came after JD and almost started to smash JD, but JD remember what Koopaking had said about his hover jets, and started thinking about a gun, and his arm formed into a wave beam.
“WAVE BEAM,” JD shouted, and a powerful wave of purple light came shooting out of his arm, disintegrating the Clubba. The other Clubbas looked over at him, then at the pile of ash their partner had become, and ran off, but Koopaking pushed a button on his remote and a ruby red sword popped out of his shell. He quickly grabbed his sword and shot an electric string of energy out of it, burning the few Clubbas and making them fall over. They quickly stowed the Clubbas and the ruminants of the Clubbas into the room they originally hid in.
“Good work,” Koopaking said, looking at JD’s arm. “Gadd and I did a great job. I did the weapons, he just did the limbs and stuff.”
“Yeah, thanks. I just did what you told me, about think about what it is and using it.”
“You are one powerful being there. The beam killed him in an instant!”
“I didn’t know I had so much power.”
“We better get out of here before someone else comes in as aid,” Koopaking said. He started running down the hall, JD following. Surprisingly, JD’s leg didn’t slow him down. In fact, he was faster than before, and Bandits are already fast.
They entered the next door and found that the dinning room was as big as the foyer. It had three stories also, but there weren’t bridges that went across. The whole middle of the third and second story was taken out, so only the edges were left. Just enough ledge was left for Tubba to get by.
Koopaking ran by a clock that looked like it had been moved quite a few times. JD ran on the other side of the room. They had to be quick and quiet so no one on the other floors would see or hear them. They found the next set of big doors, opened it and were shocked to see a Clubba sleeping on the other side.
“What do we do,” JD whispered the question.
“I would say tip-toe out of here and down the steps.”
They did so, and the Clubba didn’t wake up. It was still sleeping. They ran down the stairs down to the second fight. They saw a Guardbot waiting on someone to come down so it could grab them. Koopaking press his remote once more and out popped the sword. Koopaking jumped up and sliced the Guardbot in half, right before it set off its siren on the top of its head.
“Nice Slicing!”
“Thanks. I’ve been practicing.” JD started down the stairs, but it lead to a dead end. All there was was a patched up floor and Clubba sitting on it. “Great, now what’ll we do,” Koopaking asked.
“Wait, why would the Clubba be sitting on it if it’s just a floorboard,” JD pondered.
“Uh, I’m not hiding anything. Really. Go away before I-“ But Koopaking was already beside him with the sword.
He cut the stick of the club in half and said, “Now are you hiding something?”
The Clubba’s eyes widened and he looked at the blade then Koopaking. “Y-yes. There’s a jail under here, go on inside.” The Clubba was shaking when he said this.
“He looks like he wet himself,” JD spoke in a humorous tone. Koopaking laughed, and then cut open the boards to find that the Clubba wasn’t lying. There was a jail under them. “I’m coming Lavo!” JD yelled down the hole.

Episode 7: The “Incredible” Tubba

“Lavo? I know Lavo,” Koopaking said. “He was a buddy of my cousins. I never really hanged out though. I was always building something.” Koopaking picked up the half of the club and slammed it on the floorboard.
Koopaking and JD both hopped down to the basement, where a Guardbot and a Clubba both sat, talking. They suddenly noticed the two jump down from the ceiling. The basement was dark. The walls were made of cement, and almost no light came through, if it weren’t for the cracks in the floor boards and the one window on the west side of the building where there weren’t any cells, but a desk and some chairs where the Guardbot and Clubba normally sat at.
The guardbot went up first, but JD blasted him with his wave beam. The pieces fell to the ground and made a bunch of clinking noises. Koopaking ran up to the Clubba, but was swung at and hit by the Clubba. Clubbas aren’t fast in speed or intellect, but they do pack a punch. The impact of the blow on Koopaking’s chest sent him flying to a cell, and forced him to break through the bars as he flew back. JD ran up with enormous speed and dodged the Clubba’s attack before the Clubba even made a move. JD punched the Clubba with his normal arm, but it still did quite some damage. The Clubba’s club flew back and made a dent in the wall behind him. The Clubba only stepped back a few feet, and it held out its fists like a boxer.
“You wanna fight me, eh,” JD said with a smirk on his face. “What are you waiting for? Let’s Dance!” JD jumped up, and in a slit second, the Tubba was on the wall. And in another, JD had landed on the ground, feet first. JD held out his hand, which was holding a wallet. “I’m not only known for my fighting, but also my pick-pocketing.”
“Wow, you really are good!” Koopaking came out of the cell, whipping blood off of his face. “I could barely see those five kicks you gave him. And that last wallet-grabbing move was great!”
“You have a fast eye. Now then on to the serious business.” JD walked over to the Clubba and forcefully asked, “Where is Lavo?”
“He’s…in cell three. Just don’t hurt me…”
“I won’t. Go tell your scum leader that JD and his friend Koopaking were here. And don’t let him forget.” With that, JD threw the Clubba on the ground, and it scrambled out of the room and up the ladder to the first flight of stairs.
“He shouldn’t be back in a while.” Koopaking said. “Now let’s find cell three.”
“I’m over here,” a voice called out. The person was a maroon Koopa. Everything was maroon, from shell, to shoes, although his skin was the same as all the others. “I’ve only been here for about a day, but I don’t feel too good. They haven’t fed me, and they didn’t give me anything to sleep on.”
“Lavo, it’s you,” JD said in an excided voice. “I was hoping you were alright.”
“Yeah. I didn’t realize it was you until this fine gent said your name. What happened?”
“Nothing important right now. We have to get you out of here.” Koopaking was over at the wall while they were chatting. Koopaking picked up the club the Clubba had left and walked over to the cell.
“Stand back,” Koopaking said before swing the club at the cell door. There was a large shattering sound as Koopaking took out the whole cell. “I might have a use for this club. I think I’ll keep it.” Koopaking reseeded his arm into his shell, and then came back out empty-handed.
“Ok, now we need to get out of here,” Lavo said. “Any escape plans”
“Uh, I don’t think we thought it through that much,” Koopaking said, red at the face. JD also blushed. Lavo just fell over and sweated.
“I guess it’s just a full melee getting out of here then, considering you guys let that Clubba go.”
“Man, I knew I should have killed him,” JD said, regret in his voice.
“Well, we better go before the heat gets up guys,” Lavo said. All three ran up the ladder, up the stairs, through the Dinning room, through the hallway, and in the foyer. But Tubba was standing right in the way of the front door.
“Now sir, if you could just kindly move out of the way,” Koopaking started, “ Then I could get back to my cousins at Koopa Bros’ Fortress. Is that ok with you?”
Tubba’s eyes were glowing red, his mouth was a big frown, and his arms were crossed. Then he started to speak in a low, growling voice. “ You boys have been causing trouble in my castle; breaking in, killing guards, and breaking someone out of jail. You expect me to let you out? Ha, you must be in delusion. I’m gonna crush you three like you were a can of soda.” He cracked his knuckles and then threw a punch at JD. It slammed him so hard; he almost went through the back wall. Koopaking jumped up and kicked him in the head, but nothing happened; Tubba didn’t move a budge. “Bwa ha ha ha! You can’t destroy the Invincible Tubba!”

Episode 8: Desert Travels

This guy must be invincible or something! Lavo thought to himself. “Guys! I have an idea!”
“What is-“ But Koopaking was punched in the face and knocked back. JD came running back over to Lavo and grabbed him. They both moved out of the way of a punch thrown by Tubba. Lavo told JD quickly, and then JD put him down.
JD ran right up to Tubba and started saying, “Yo, fatty! I’m over here!”
“Why you little… I’m not fat! I was born this way!”
“You know, he looks like a monkey, the way his arms almost touch the ground and all. And his feet are sooo long,” Koopaking was picking up on the idea, although at first he was just annoying Tubba for no reason.
“Stop it! My legs aren’t short and I’m not a monkey!”
“Ooo ooo ahh,” Lavo started jumping up and down and moving his arms around.
“STOP IT!!!”
Tubba ran towards Lavo at full speed, and then JD yelled out, “NOW!” JD and Koopaking ran towards the door, while Lavo dodged a punch from Tubba. They opened the door and ran out. Lavo came out two seconds after them.
“GO NOW!!!” Lavo came running out the door and down the Gusty Gulch Trail at full speed. Lavo and Koopaking looked inside the wide open door and shut it as Tubba was running towards it. They locked it by putting some collected clubs across the door handles and ran. But Tubba easily smashed through the door and started running after Koopaking and JD.
“For a fat guy, you run pretty fast,” Koopaking yelled back at him.
“URG! I’ll get you for this Koopaking!!” Tubba’s eyes were so red that the three would have been able to see it through the tick fog.
“Great, make him even madder,” JD yelled at Koopaking. Koopaking pulled out his remote, pushed the button, and started his jets.
“Follow me,” He yelled back. Koopaking Flew up in the air and started going faster than JD’s running. JD looked up at Koopaking and flew up in the air too and was right behind Koopaking. They both lowered down to pick up Lavo, and then flew back up. JD let Koopaking carry Lavo because he had more practice at flying. They started speeding off.
“Come back here traitors,” Tubba yelled at the top of his lungs. “I’ll kill you Koopaking!”
“Where re we going, Koopaking,” JD asked in a high voice so they could hear over the wind crashing into their faces.
“To the desert. We can’t stop by Gadd’s lab cause it’s too close to Tubba and his castle. I’m going to the desert to meet up with the person I was talking about earlier. I’m late too. I was supposed to be there two days ago.”
“We better get there then,” Lavo said impatiently, “Cause I’m starting to get uncomfortable.
“You’re telling me,” Koopaking replied to Lavo’s complaint, “I’ve gotta carry you. Do you mind going into your shell for me? You’ll be easier to carry.” Lavo was already halfway in when Koopaking said this.
“I’ll get rest like this anyway.” The three were now flying past the plateaus and into the Dry Dry Desert. The Dry Dry Desert, if you already haven’t guessed, is very dry. It normally inhabits Bandits, Spineys, mice, and Beetles, but you will sometimes find Koopas there too. Around this area of time, Koopas were visiting Dry Dry Desert.
“JD, we’re going to Dry Dry Outpost. Do you know where that is?”
“Yeah, I used to live here, although I was more of an outcast. I still am, probably. I moved away early on, tried to find a new place to live.”
“Well, We’re heading there. Do you remember Moustafa?”
“Yeah, but I’ve never met him.”
“Well, we’ll be hiding with him for a while. I’m trying to run away from my cousins.”
“But I thought you said to Tubba Blubba that you were with them, and that you were heading back to their Fort right now.”
“Yeah, I bluffed. I was trying to see if he would agree to move out of our way. You see, the reason I’m trying to run away is because Bowser is trying to take over the Mushroom Kingdom.
“Why doesn’t that surprise me?”
“Yeah, and the fact that my cousins agreed to help just makes it worse. They’re keeping one of the star guardians of Star Haven from helping Mario get the Star Rod back.”
“Star Rod? Star Haven? Never heard of them.”
“Exactly. Bowser thinks it’s the perfect plan. Also the fact that no one’s wishes will come true, unless action is taken. And Bowser can grant himself anything he wants.
I feel guilty, because I sort of helped my cousins. I started building them a fake Bowser suit. I never finished it because I realized what they planed on using it for. I only got the head and legs done. They did the rest.”
“Wow, this sounds bad. Shouldn’t we do something?”
“I can’t think of anything to do. The only idea I can think of is raid the fort and free the Star Spirit, but I don’t want to hurt my cousins. They’re not evil; they just don’t know what they’re getting themselves into. Although I don’t know if Blue is still with the idea. He’s never really been the evil type. I know he didn’t want to fight me in the air.” Koopaking was looking forward when he was talking, almost like he was talking to the air in front of him. Then he realized that they were very close to Dry Dry Outpost. “Ok, let’s land here. We can walk into town so people don’t think we’re nuts.” Koopaking knocked on Lavo’s shell. “Wake up lazy a**!” Koopaking and JD laughed. Lavo came out and punched Koopaking in the face. Koopaking hit a desert tree.
“You’re the lazy a**!!” Lavo yelled at Koopaking. “I’m not the one who relies on machines to get me places! Actually, you’re more of a Machine Geek than a lazy a**.” Lavo smirked. JD just kept walking, ignoring the squabbling.
“Well you’re the one who can’t defend yourself against Clubbas! At least I come prepared, instead of traveling the world with just the shell on my back!”
“Well, maybe I know how to survive out here in the wilderness!”
“I bet you wouldn’t last one day in the desert, Mr. ‘they didn’t feed me or give me something to sleep on.’”
“YOU’RE ON!” JD turned around and Koopaking and Lavo were already setting up their own separate tents.
“Um, guys, we’re already a few feet away from the Outpost. Can we please just go in?”
“I would, but it would make me look too lazy for that idiot right there,” Lavo said, pointing to Koopaking, who was flattening out the sand and tying a rope between the trees.
“Well, Koopaking, can you show me to Moustafa?”
“I’m not taking a step inside of there because Lazy a** will make fun of my technology.”
JD sweated. “Well can you at least tell me how to get there?”
“A mouse will be asking for food at the end of town. Give him a lemon.”
“Where do I fond a lemon?”
“He’s probably too lazy to remember, I bet he looks it up on some fancy computer or something.”
“WILL YOU SHUT UP?!” Fire came out of Koopaking’s mouth when he said this. “You’re the one who slept all day!”
JD sweated again. “Well, I’m gonna go into town now. I’ll tell Moustafa you sent me, Koopaking.” Koopaking was too busy quarrelling that he didn’t here what Lavo said.

Episode 9: The Blue Encounter

Koopaking pulled out steaks to nail into the ground. He had already tied the rope around the two trees, and was using two ropes to put across the one rope and tightly pulled each one to the ground. He nailed four steaks in the ground with the club he picked up earlier and tied the two ends of each rope around one steak. Then he pulled out a tarp from his shell and lays it over the ropes. “There, a perfect tent” Koopaking said, sticking out his chest in pride and smiling brightly.
Lavo looked over at Koopaking’s tent then at his pathetic lump of a sheet, and then hatched an idea. I’ll just sleep outside! he thought to himself. “Wow, what a great day. I think I’ll just sleep inside tonight.
“Good luck with that, Lazy A!” Lavo glared at Koopaking, and they both turned their heads away from each other.
JD came running back with great speed. “GUYS! GUYS! Come quick!” JD looked worried. He was worried about the fact that Blue was in Dry Dry Outpost, and that both of his friends were fighting, so there was probably no way of getting them to fight together. “Blue is right outside the outpost Moustafa is trying to keep him away from the town, but he’s not doing so well! Guys? GUYS?! WERE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!”
“I’m not going if Lavo goes!”
“Well, I’m not going if he goes!”
“URGH! You guys are helpless! I’m going to go save Moustafa, whether you two are coming or not.” JD ran off back towards the Outpost entrence to fight with Blue.
“Who are you? One of Bowser’s minions,” Blue was Looking at JD.
“I have no such contract with him!”
“Well, I have no use for you right now. Go away before I get mad at you. Me and this mouse have some talking to do.”
“Don’t you hurt him!”
“I’m fine, save yourself, Bandit!” Moustafa, a green mouse, was standing in front of the gates to the outpost, his arms stretched out, blocking Blue from getting in.
“Shut up you! Leave, Bandit, before I hurt you too! I have to get in that out post to see my cousin!”
“He’s not in there,” JD blabbed. He covered his mouth.
“Where is he? Tell me!” With that, he smacked JD and sent his in the sand. JD quickly got back up but was smacked again. “I’ll say it again: Where is he?”
“I’m still not telling you!” JD used his hover jets to blast himself up into the air. Then he flew north, towards the Plateaus. Blue followed him started running as fast as JD was flying. I have to get out of here, but how? … I’ve got it! JD Morphed his arm into a gun once more, and shot a less harmful beam shoot out. It was fast, but not strong. It knocked blue off his feet for only a few seconds, and JD used that as an advantage to fly a little west, to the location of Lavo and Koopaking. Blue got up and looked around.
“Where did that freak go?”
JD got back to the campsites of Koopaking and Lavo and yelled “THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT GUYS! BLUE IS HEADING TO THIS SPOT RIGHT NOW!!” At that, Koopaking looked up and saw JD floating above him.
“Okay, I’ll leave, but you’re carrying Lavo.
“Yeah, I don’t want to be carried by a Techno Geek. He might drop me from being distracted by all the technology!” Koopaking looked over at Lavo, pulled out his remote and popped out his jets.
“I’ll be ahead of you guys to avoid conversation with Lazy A. He might put me to sleep with his boring talk.” Koopaking got all the ropes and cloth and brought them back into his shell. “Since we’ll be separated, I’ll tell you where we’re going. Keep heading north till you get to Pleasant Path. Try to go around it and avoid any contact with Koopas or Bob-ombs. We don’t want them alerting the Koopa Bros. that they saw a Koopa and a Bandit go overhead. They might suspect something. Now, keep going past Pleasant Path until you get to the icy plains called Snow Road. Once you get there, find a town called Shiver City. It’s right near Shiver Mountain. God luck. I’ll be going the same way, just stopping by the lab for a minute. I might run out of fuel.” With that, Koopaking put on his orange mask, blue collar, and blue gloves. “What? I need to have my own ok right? So I chose blue gloves.” Koopaking sped off. JD and Lavo were staring at each other in confusion.
“Maybe it isn’t so bad that we were in a fight. We should go now and try to catch up with him, so that we don’t have to remember all that.”
“Good idea.” JD sped off in the direction Koopaking, Lavo in hands.
“Get back here you!” Blue was right on their trail, and catching JD this time.
“How did you find me?”
“I saw you in the air, now get back here!”
“Lavo, can you get on my back for a minute, or hold on to my left arm?”
“Sure.” Lavo climbed on JD’s back, and JD opened fire. He shot another beam, stronger than before, though. It knocked Blue out as he fell to the ground.
“I hope he likes the taste of dirt, cause he just got a mouth-full.” They sped off toward E. Gadd’s lab to catch Koopaking.

Episode 10: The Shadow Guard

The day was almost over, and the sun was starting to set. In some far-off places, light was glowing from all the buildings and houses. The sunset looked gorgeous from where Koopaking was.
“I’m so glad I’m able to fly. This is very beautiful.” Koopaking looked down at the Forever Forest, where he was, and saw something on fire. “Hrm? What’s this? A fire? I wonder what could cause that. I’ll go check.” Koopaking flew down and landed near the fire. The crackling was loud, but the fire was small. “I should put this out before something terrible—No, I need to get to Shiver City.” So, he started his jets back up, but a strange creature; in a dark purple cloak that covered everything but it’s face, which was as black as the night sky, and it’s eyes and mouth were icy blue; came out, and Right before Koopaking jumped up and started to go out of the forest, the creature made a motion with its hands, and Koopaking fell right back down, his jets failing.
“I can’t have you do that,” The creature said in a smooth voice. “Master’s orders not to let you go anywhere. I was looking for you here because Tubba said you were around. He’s furious at you. Although he did mention you had others with you.” The creature started floating. “Where are they,” it said in a Booming voice. It sounded like bombs going off right inside Koopaking’s ears.
“W-why do you care,” Koopaking said, stuttering from the pain in his ears.
The creature’s eyes started to glow, harder than Tubba’s had. “I ask you because I want to KNOW!” The creature somehow picked up Koopaking without touching him, then motioned his arms forward. Koopaking flew back towards a tree, knocking it down.
“Calm down! I don’t even know who you are!”
“I don’t care! Tell me so I can kill you and them. Master will be pleased then!”
“Who is your master?”
“He is one who despises you. That’s all I can say!” He moved Koopaking again and slammed him into another tree.
“Hey! Who are you,” JD said in an angry and forceful voice. JD and Lavo came flying down from the sky.
“Who am I? Well, I am the famous Lump.”
“N-never heard of you,” Koopaking chuckled. “You’re too stupid to be famous.”
“Shut up you.” Lump moved Koopaking and threw him against another tree. “I don’t like you, and neither does my master. But I have all three of you trapped here and I can destroy you!”
“Not likely. WAVE BEAM!” JD’s arm morphed and made a powerful blast. But Lump just moved his dark arms and an invisible force field formed over him, and the beam bounced off the field and went into the sky.
“How amusing. But I don’t like your little toys. Be gone.” Lump moved his hands around and slammed JD into a tree too.
“That’s getting pretty annoying.” Koopaking said. Then a tree came over him and dropped on him. Then Lump Held up his hands and icy blue energy balls, and started shooting them over at Koopaking. “HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT THEN! MA HA HA HA!”
“THAT’S ENOUGH!!!” Lavo’s eyes turned fiery red and started to glow His hands started to glow too. Then he held out both hands and blasted a big heat ray at Lump. Lump wasn’t fast enough to block his opponent’s ray, so he was hit by it.
“BAK!” Lump yelled out as he was being broken down by the heat. A poof smoke came from the spot he was standing, and everything he was grasping onto fell down.
“I think I got him.” JD and Koopaking got up and looked at each other, wide-eyed.
“I…think you did too,” JD said, still wide-eyed.
“Yeah… That was one h*** of a powerful blast. I didn’t even know you had powers. I thought you were just a regular Koopa” Koopaking was looking at his color and started thinking. The he said, “Now I get the maroon color thing. I’ve never seen a Koopa that color before.”
“I thought the same thing when I met him.”
“Well, guys, I can’t fly, so you two are my only transportation. Can we please get out of here now? And sorry about earlier, Koopaking. I guess I was over-reacting.”
“Y-yeah, I’m sorry too, seeing what you can do. But we should probably put out this fire.” The fire was getting bigger and bigger.
“Maybe we could use a power that we don’t know of? I mean, I probably have plenty of powers. Do you even remember what you gave me Koopaking?”
Koopaking thought for a second, and then snapped his fingers. “I’ve got it! We’ll use your water hose. Have you drunk any water lately, JD?”
“Yeah, I found an oasis in the desert while you guys were fighting. Why?”
“Just think of your arm as a cannon, but then think of yourself shooting out water from your body, just like you do for your Wave Beam.” JD did so, and a bunch of water came gushing out of his cannon. The fire was small, but it took a bunch of energy and water out of JD just to conjure up enough water.
“W-we are definitely going to have to stop by Gadd’s tonight. All this blasting and water draining is making me hungry.” JD was holding his stomach. “And Koopaking, you’re going to have to carry Lavo.
“Man, all of these powers being unleashed today. Very interesting,” Lavo was holding his chin and had his eyes closed. “Very interesting indeed.” Koopaking picked up Lavo, and then Lavo reseeded into his shell. Koopaking and JD jetted out of the forest and into the sky again.

Episode 11: The Floating Friend

The night was still dark, and there were fewer lights on in close by towns and cities. The three were still trying to head towards Gadd’s lab first, but didn’t want Blue to catch them. Koopaking and Lavo were a little worried about JD. He looked like he was about to faint. He had his hand on his head and stomach. His body had been drained of a lot of water from his body and was very dehydrated.
“Can we get to the lab fast? I’m starting to feel dizzy,” JD said, weakly.
“Yeah, we can try. Just grab onto my feet and I’ll do all the work. You just have to keep yourself hovering. Can you do that?”
“Yeah, I think so.”
“Good.” Koopaking gave his jets a power boost as JD held onto his foot, still hovering. “We’re almost—” But Koopaking couldn’t finish his sentence because a star had bumped into him and fell down to the ground. “Well that was rude, he didn’t even say sorry. But he did fall on the ground. Good thing too. He gets what he deserves.”
A few minutes later, Koopaking landed outside of E. Gadd’s Lab. Koopaking put Lavo down, but felt something tugging his leg upwards. “Uh, Koopaking,” Lavo said, pointing at his leg.
“What? I know my leg feels weird, but you don’t have to point at—” But then Koopaking was being pulled upwards. He flipped over in the air and started floating up wards, at a slow but constant state. “Hey what gives? ACK! JD, let go of my leg, and stop hovering. JD?” JD didn’t give a response, as he was unconscious Koopaking gasped then started his jets up. They were on the ground, but Koopaking had to hurry. “Quickly, inside Gadd’s Lab! Hurry up and open the door JD, he starting to pull me up again!”
“I’m working on it,” Lavo replied in a hurried voice.
“Ok, I’m starting to float up again, help me pull him down!”
“Coming!” Lavo hurried over to Koopaking then helped yank Koopaking and JD down. They ran inside the lab and pull JD down the latter. “Man, JD is light!”
“Yeah, and he’s got all that metal on him. We need to nourish him quickly.”
“Boys! I didn’t realize you’d come back for a while. What happened?”
“We encountered Blue, Gadd. I told you about him when we were fixing JD.”
“Oh yes. He doesn’t sound too bad but—”
“Enough chatter! JD is being pulled up by his hover jets! And I’m getting tired of pulling him down! Help us!”
“Just let him go. We’ll figure it out later. You don’t want to stress him and yourselves out. There’s a roof in here, so you don’t have to worry about him drifting off into space.” E Gadd took of his glasses and rubbed his white hair back, then pulled their hands away from JD. “So tell me, what happened?”
Koopaking sighed then said, “Well, I first noticed that he was being pulled up when I landed. His light hovering was probably cancelled out by velocity that we were traveling. Otherwise, he would already be gone.”
“But why is he still being pulled up if he fainted,” Lavo said, his hand to his chin.
“Well, he fainted, but he is probably still concentrating on hovering. But it’s strange that he would still be concentrating so hard in his sleep. You see,” Gadd started, “when you are asleep, normally you are paralyzed and can’t move. Otherwise, you would act out what you were thinking in your sleep. It’s a good thing he can’t fully concentrate on flying; otherwise, you two would be stuck in the sky. Now let’s feed him.”
“Yeah, but he’s still stuck on the ceiling,” Koopaking pointed out. “How are we going feed him, let alone to get to him, up there?”
“Well, you can always use you jets. I mean, it’s not like you can’t fly or anything,” Lavo also pointed out.
“Yes, and I’ll build a platform machine that will allow me and Lavo to get up to him.”
“Or,” Koopaking said, “you could make a strapping down device that is cemented to the floor so he doesn’t float up to the ceiling, then I could go get him, bring him down here, and you could strap him down.”
“Good plan. Let’s get started.” Gadd pulled out pieces of parts and started putting them together, then he cemented a thick pole into the ground, attached a long, flat piece of metal which had straps coming out of it. Koopaking went and fetched JD and brought him back down, then thy strapped him down. Lavo was in the kitchen preparing a meal for the four of them.
They fed JD and let him rest for a while, and then Gadd cleaned off a table in the corner and put down three plates. Lavo set the food down and they all ate.

Episode 12: Lump’s Mission

It was the morning after the day Lump attacked Koopaking, and the morning after the night JD almost went into orbit. It was the brighter morning where most life starts up again. The location is Bowser’s Castle, deep underground. A could suddenly appears right outside the dark cave; which is lit by lanterns right off the castle walls and light coming from the windows of the castle. Emerging from the smoky cloud was the dark figure in the purple cloak known as Lump. His cloak had holes in it, which revealed dark arms and legs, just as his head was. He dripped blood from different places, which was a icy blue color and made hissing sounds when it hit the ground, dissolving anything when liquid. He was stumbling towards the castle because of the large blast of energy Lavo had given him.
“M-must get to master… Must warn him…” Lump was holding the front of his head and slouching. He was looking at the ground until a Koopatrol; Koopas in metal spiky armor; stopped him.
“What is your business here?”
“I-idiot… It’s Lump!” Lump took his hand off his head and pushed the Koopatrol aside with his powers. “Don’t think I won’t kill you next time…”
At the top of the castle, Bowser and Kammy were both monitoring everything going on in the castle with Kammy’s Crystal Ball.
“Sir,” Kammy said in her wheezy witch voice, “Lump is here, and he seems to be in bad shape.”
“Let me see!” Bowser took the ball and looked into it and saw Lump. “He does look weary. Koopaking must put up a fight! But if Lump is still here, then I’m guessing that he’s killed Koopaking, like I told him to. Teleport him here.” Kammy waved her wand and Lump suddenly appeared at the top of the castle.
“Sir and ma’am… I have--”
“So what happened? How did you win?” Bowser was very excited to see Lump still alive. “And tell the truth, I don’t like lies!”
“Sir, I think he was about to tell you.”
“Shut up, hag!”
“S-sir… I have failed…”
“YOU WHAT?!” Bowser’s voice boomed off the walls and made all the Koopatrols shiver. “CAN’T YOU DO ANYTHING?! AM I GOING T HAVE TO KILL YOU MYSELF?!”
“Calm down sir! I don’t want you to bust another vein!”
“Sir… There are more than Koopaking… There are two more, in fact… Please, I did the best I could, and I made Koopaking and one of the others faint… The other Koopa was too fast… I think his name was Lavo. He did a very powerful energy blast… But I escaped before it did too much damage and killed me… Although I am still in much--” But Bowser blew a large amount of fire at Lump for his lame efforts. When the fire was gone, there was just a pile of ash and blood where Lump was standing.
“Idiot! He can’t even tell a story right. Anyway, Kammy! Send in Shade!” Kammy waved her wand again and Shade appeared. Shade was the same type of creature as Lump, only taller, had light orange eyes and mouth, and had a chain going across his chest. He was also smarter.
“Since Lump didn’t get the job done, I want you to do it. Find Koopaking and his team, and kill them all. BWA HA HA HA HA!”
“Yes sir. They will be destroyed. I’ll show myself out

Episode 13: The Emerging Castle

JD awoke with a daze and saw Koopaking and Lavo sleeping next to where he was tied up. “Why… do I feel like I’m floating? Oh, I’m still concentrating on floating… What is going on? Why can’t I move my arms? Oh… I’m tied up.” Then JD started yelling at Lavo and Koopaking. “HEY, MORONS! GET ME OFF OF THIS!” Koopaking and Lavo almost instantly woke up.
“Aaahhh!” Koopaking was covering his ears. “Do you have to be so loud? I was actually enjoying sleep you know!”
“Good, you’re all awake. Now unstrap me.” Lavo quickly untied JD. “Thanks.” JD was moving around his real wrist.
“Yeah, you’re welcome for not letting you float off into space! Do you know how hard it was to keep you down? I had to fly up in the air and get you, then I had to scrape you off the ceiling, and this is all because you fainted on me when I specifically told you to not to fall asleep!”
“That was a long sentence,” Lavo said, sweating.
Koopaking punched Lavo in the face and knocked him on the ground. “Shut up, no one asked you.”
“Anyway, we need to get back on the road. I’m pretty sure it’s already noon. And Blue, at his speed, would probably make it here soon, if he even knows where we are.” JD was looking around. “Hey, uh, where’s Gadd? He should probably be in here by now, because of my loud voice. GADD! WHERE—” Koopaking cover JD’s mouth.
“It’s not noon,” Koopaking whispered, “It’s five in the mourning!”
“Yeah, and it’s been almost two days since you practically floated into space. We probably should go, since we’re still being hunted down. Blue looked very determined to find you, Koopaking.”
The three rushed out the lab and into the woods and blasted off. Ah, the morning breeze feels so good!” JD was sticking his arms out and whirling around. “It makes me feel like flying… Wait, I am.”
“I wish I could fly. You two are lucky!”
“Yeah, I wish you could fly too, that way I wouldn’t have to lug you around so much.” Koopaking was sort of making grunting noises because he was trying to keep Lavo from falling. “Listen, when we get in the air from now on, get on my back. You’re killing my hands!”
“Oh, sorry.” Lavo climbed on Koopaking’s back.
They were now flying out of the territory of Forever Forest and into Pleasant Path. Koopaking sighed. “I guess I won’t get to come around here anymore, since I’ve got a bounty on me from Bowser. I know people are looking for me, and I bet that Lump guy was one of his goons.”
“Yeah, he even knew you name.” Lavo was trying to change the subject, even though he knew he couldn’t go back either. They both grew up around each other. Lavo and Koopaking knew each other from long ago, but they tried to hide it, because it only reminded them of home. “Maybe we should try to forget the past, hm? I mean, I’m sure Shiver city is an awesome place! There also might be some Koopas there.”
“I just hope it’s not too cold. I always grew up in the desert, and I won’t be used to the cold.”
“You do realize the name is Shiver City, right?” Koopaking looked over at JD, joking with him.
“Well, I was only trying to brighten things up.”
“Speaking of which,” Lavo said, looking towards the east, “The sun is coming up. That’s a good thing. It must already be 7:00.”
“Must be,” JD and Koopaking replied.
“I’m starting to get stiff, can we land for a few minutes? Koopaking’s shell is killing my legs.”
“Fine…” Koopaking sighed. Koopaking and JD landed. Almost as son as they landed, they felt a rumble.
“What’s that,” Lavo was startled, because it started almost as soon as they landed.
“Quickly, back in the air!” Koopaking started his jets, Lavo hopped on his back, and JD hovered up. “I need to see what’s going on.” Koopaking looked around, but then they all realized what it was.
“Is that--” JD was pointing at the large object floating in the sky, going higher and faster.
“I think it is… Wow…”
“Oh no, his plan has commenced. This is horrible!” Koopaking had already known about Bowser’s plan. He forgot about it in his way over to the desert and back. “I was going to stop him!”
“Good job,” Lavo said sarcastically.
The object in the sky was Peach’s castle, which was mounted on top of Bowser’s castle, which looked almost like a platform. The platform was suspended in the air by one big propeller. The castle was out of sight from Pleasant Path or any other location in the Mushroom Kingdom.
“It’s time to change direction. The castle is way too close to Shiver City.” Koopaking Pointed in a Southeastern direction. “They say there is an island off the coast of Toad Town Harbor.”
“We’re changing directions again?” Lavo was unsatisfied with this choice. “Why?”
“Yeah, why are we changing directions from a castle that is so far it, it can’t be—” But a light appeared from where the castle had ascended, and a small object could be seen falling down in the far distance. “Ok, let’s go,” JD said quickly, as they saw the object fall from the sky. “That could might us next time.” JD and Koopaking quickly blasted off southeast.

Episode 14: Shade’s attack

The day had come, a cloudy day, which wasn’t good for the three heroes, who were flying over the sea, just off the coast of Toad Town Harbor. It wasn’t the best day for travel, especially if you’re flying in the sky. Lavo was on Koopaking’s back, and JD was flying beside Koopaking.
“I’m starting to get wet,” Lavo whined. “I don’t like water. I’m more of a heat guy.”
“Yeah, I know what you mean,” Koopaking had his hands over his eyes, as if he was trying to shade them from sunlight. “But I can’t do anything about it. I can’t fly low, in fear of boats. You should either go into your shell or—Hey, where’s JD?”
“I’m down here!” JD was almost touching the water. “It was getting hard to breathe.”
“Get back up here! Someone might see you!” Koopaking also had the same feeling, but was still too afraid of being seen.
“Hey, I want down,” Lavo whined again. “JD, come and get me!”
“Ok!” JD flew up and took Lavo off Koopaking’s back. Lavo got on JD’s back and held onto his cape.
“Your cape makes an excellent towel.” Lavo was rubbing the cape against his head to get all the water off.
The three were still going, Koopaking still in the clouds, and the other two next to the water. Some seagulls got in the way, but they all ignored the seagulls.
“So, where is this place that Koopaking is taking us,” Lavo whispered into JD’s ear.
“I don’t know. I think it’s supposed to be uncharted.”
“Well, I can see why. It’s a long ways to the island. I’m having trouble staying awake, if it weren’t for the sea water bouncing into my face.”
“Yeah, but it’s better than being up in the clouds.” JD and Lavo looked up and saw Koopaking starting to come down towards them. “So you’ve decided to join us I see! It’s better down here then up there.”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right. Anyway, We’re almost there. If you haven’t been looking where we’re going, you’ll just now notice that it’s only a few miles ahead.”
“Whoopee!” Lavo threw his arms up in the air in excitement. “I still wish I could fly. That way I wouldn’t have to sit on backs and get uncomfortable.”
“You really complain too much.” Koopaking made a chuckle when he said this. “But it’s not problem to point out.”
They all make it to the island and land. The part of the island the landed on had rocks blocking a path leading into a jungle called Jade Jungle. There was another path, leading to a sandy beach, which came up to Yoshi’s Village. Koopaking pointed towards the sand beach.
“We’ll walk a little that way, but stay on your guard for Jungle Fuzzies. Those Yellow fuzz balls are nothing but trouble.”
“Geez, KK, how do you know so much about this place,” Lavo asked.
“I’ve…traveled here once. Long story though.”
“Well, I hope we get there soon. I feel like I’m going to faint.” JD put the back of his real hand on his mask. “I feel pretty bad right now.”
“Well, by looking at the sun’s direction, it’s about three o’clock PM, meaning it’s the hottest part of the day. And here, that’s hot.”
The three started walking on the sandy beach, and saw a few Fuzzies, but ran from them to get JD to the village. Lavo had to blast one with his Lava Blast, but used only enough to knock it out. They made it to the village, where a large, green Yoshi greeted them.
“Koopaking, is that you,” the large Yoshi asked, his eyes wide with excitement.
“Yeah, it is,” Koopaking impatiently said, “Listen, I need place to stay. Can I stay in your Village for a while?”
“Well, I think Ren T. is still here from last time you came. He started a Toad Inn here.”
“Really? Wow. He probably doesn’t get much business though, does he?”
“Well, he sleeps there.” Koopaking and the Yoshi chuckled. Lavo and JD just scratched their heads.
“I think Koopaking has gone mad,” Lavo whispered to JD.
“I think you’re right,” JD whispered back, “And by the size of that Yoshi, it looks like it could eat all three of us in one bite.”
“Tell your friend that I heard that. I don’t think they know how to talk to Yoshis.”
“Okay, I will.” Koopaking turned around and looked at both Lavo and JD. “He heard that you know. Anyway, he said there’s an Inn at the end of the village. You can go there while I go to the mart and get some food.”
“There’s a mart here,” Lavo was stunned, “Wow, this place must get plenty of people for an uncharted island.”
“Yeah, I think I’ll go take a nape. You talking to Yoshis is enough for me.” JD put his hand on his mask again.
Lavo, Koopaking, and JD walked towards the village. JD looked at a fenced part of the ground that had threes as the corner posts, and a sign was hung from two trees saying “Toad Inn”. A toad was standing “inside”.
“That’s the Inn,” JD asked. “It sure is… Open.”
“Hi, may I interest you in a night’s stay?”
“Sure. How much?” JD was going through his pockets, looking for coins. “I’m sure I have some somewhere in here.
“10 coins please.” The Toad stuck his hand out.
JD gave him the coins. “Here you go. Go on Koopaking and Lavo. I’ll meet you guys here later.”
“Good idea,” Koopaking said, nodding his head. Then he turned to the toad. “Hey, Ren, where’s the mart?”
“Next door. They have some good stuff there.”
“Thanks, We’ll probably be back tonight. I’m going to stay too.”
Koopaking and Lavo walked to the hut next door. They walked in and found plenty items on a shelf. There were things like Mushrooms and syrups on the shelf. A Toad was standing at the end of the shelf and walked towards them.
“Can I interest you two in anything,” the Toad said.
“Yes, we would like some food. How much for 2 mushrooms and a jar of maple syrup,” Koopaking said.
“Hm… About 80 coins.”
“WHAT,” Koopaking yelled in surprise. “It should be a fourth of that! That’s how much I get it at Koopa Village!”
“Hey, bud! Do you know how much it costs to import things to here? A lot! Now leave. Paying customers only.”
Koopaking walked out of the hut and slammed the door, grumbling.
“Now what are we supposed to do for food,” Lavo asked, rubbing his stomach. “I’m getting hungry.”
“Well, we can go into the jungle. There are probably plants out there that will have food. Like roots and fruits.”
“Yeah, you’re right. Let’s go then.”
Lavo and Koopaking went past the “Inn” and went into the Jungle. They looked around at the plants and saw some strange ones. There were heart plants that gave you hearts and restored some of your hunger, there were plants that had bells on them and rang when you touched it, and more. The path that Koopaking and Lavo were on took them right to a volcano, which had boiling hot lava surrounding it. Lavo looked down the cliff that the lava was at, then pulled his head back up and looked at a cave door on the side of the Volcano.
“Wow,” Lavo started, “It almost looks like someone dug through there.”
“Someone did dig through there.”
“Huh?”
“Yes, a giant monster. Are you familiar with Piranha Plants?”
“Yeah, what does this have to do with them though?”
“Here, there’s a large monster called Lava Piranha. He’s so big, that he has three head. One is fully developed, but the other two are just buds. And it’s been spreading seeds everywhere on Lavalava Island.”
“Wow.”
“Yeah. Let’s go. We don’t need to stick around here. It’s too dangerous.”
But an anonymous voice boomed, “Too dangerous indeed, mortals.” Then a creature appears in front of Lavo and Koopaking. “Prepare to meet your demise!”
“Is that…Lump?” Lavo squinted to see. “You look taller. And you aren’t beat up. And you have red—,”
“SILENCE! Do not speak of that weakling. He is nothing compared to me!”
“Good, cause he was annoying with his tree smashing thing,” Lavo giggled.
“Don’t speak, mortal!”
“Urgh, all talk and no play? Let’s see some action here!” Koopaking pulled out his ruby sword and the club he collected a while back from Tubba’s Castle. “C’mon, Blaze and Proto! Let’s beat this guy up!” Koopaking jumped forward and ran at Shade, but was stopped by a force field around Shade. Koopaking fell to the ground.
“That’s it? A charge attack and then you fall to the ground? How pathetic.”
“Then let me try!” Lavo charged up for a Lava Blast then released it. It his the force field, but bounce off into the sky.
“Still pathetic.” Shade held out a hand and pulled up two trees from beside him. The trees were great in size. Lavo looked around, but there was nowhere to go. The trees slammed together, right where Lavo was, making a loud cracking noise.
“AAACCKKK!!” Was all Koopaking heard.

Episode 15: The Lost and Gained

“AACCKK,” Koopaking heard nothing else. Not the booming sound of the trees hitting each other, the loud cracking of a shell, nor the sound of the cackling Shade. Koopaking just laid there for a minute, stunned. His eyes were wide with fear. He was thinking back to when Lavo was with his cousins. He remembered the time He fought to free Lavo from Tubba’s castle. He remembered when they yelled at each other in the desert. They quickly resolve their matters when Lump appeared, and Lavo saved Koopaking by almost disintegrating Lump. He also remembered how Lavo complained too much about almost everything. Hey laid there for a few more seconds, then snapped back into reality, just as soon as Shade approached him. He looked over toward the trees, and then his eyes glowed with rage.
“You filthy Bas—” He picked up his mace and his sword and started hacking and pounding at the force field.
“You should be aiming at the mind, not the object.” Shade was smirking, and tapping his forehead. “I posses power in my mind, not my body. I only motion it through my hands, to gain control.”
“I don’t care! Bring back my friend, or I’ll through you into the lava!” Tears rolled down Koopaking’s cheeks.
“Calm down, I was going to kill him anyway, along with you!” Shade pulled out his hand and brought up Koopaking with his powers. “Now then, I have to ask you. Where is the metal Bandit? If you don’t tell me, I’ll just read your mind and find what I want.”
“I’ll never betray my friend! I—” But Koopaking saw something behind him that he would probably never forget. Koopaking nodded his head. “I just changed my mind. I left him in Toad Town. He’s not on the island.” Koopaking smirked as Shade was looking at Koopaking in disbelief.
“Well, then I guess my work here is done. Now be—GAHH!!” But something hit shade while he was talking and concentrating on Koopaking. Blue had just stuck Shade with his Shell Shot. Shade stumbled over towards the cliff and fell into the lava, but teleported right before he touched the lava.
“What are you doing here? I thought I left you in the dust in the desert.”
“I caught onto your trail. I’ve been trying to find you to tell you that--,” But Koopaking interrupted him.
“That you’re going to bring me down and get rid of me. I bet you just beat that Lump guy out of jealousy that he was about to kill me. You’re little late on Lavo though. I think he wa…s killed…” Koopaking let out more tears. “He was trying to help me! But that freak had to do that stupid tree smash thing! I hear his last cry for help…” Blue smacked Koopaking.
“Get a hold of yourself! You’re acting like he was your friend. You never liked him.”
“I’ve changed my mind about him. He was a good guy! Unlike you!” Koopaking pushed Blue down and ran towards the two trees that Lavo had been crushed by. “Lavo! Say something!”
“H…” is all Lavo could wheeze out before fainting.
“LAVO!” Koopaking scratched up the trees, then pulled out the mace again and started banging at the trees with his mace. “Say something else! Just try to! Or at least help me move the trees if you can! Do anything to signal me that you are still alive!” He kept banging at the trees harder and harder. Eventually he made a hole through the cracks that separated the trees. Koopaking looked around and found a piece of Lavo’s shell. “Oh no… I’m coming!” He banged his way through and found a bare, crushed Lavo. He was still alive, but only parts of him functioned. “LLLLAAAAVVVVOOOO!!!!” Koopaking shouted, making Birds in near-by trees fly away. Blue had to cover his ears.
JD was awake and talking to a Yoshi kid named Pyroshi. Luckily, Ren T. was able to translate for JD. JD was talking to him about how he knew Koopaking and was just informed that Blue had come by not too long ago, when they both heard the shouting. JD and Pyroshi ran the voice of Koopaking, and found Blue standing near two trees that looked like they had been knocked down. Koopaking was on top of the trees, and was pulling something out of them. Koopaking looked over at JD and Pyroshi.
“We’re going to E Gadd’s,” Koopaking yelled, “NOW!!!”
“What’s going--,” JD started to ask, but stopped when he saw the mangled Lavo being pulled out of the trees. Koopaking lifted out of the Jungle and went back into the sky and flew off with enormous speed.
“I’m coming with you.” Pyroshi said, looking concerned at JD. “Lavo was probably a close friend. I’ll try to cheer you up.” But all JD heard was “Yoshi yoshi yoshi. Yoshi yoshi. Yoshi yoshi yoshi yoshi.”
“Listen I have no idea what you said, but I think you need to come with me anyway. I need company on my journey back to the lab.”
“Oh, right, you can’t understand me.”
JD held Pyroshi’s small hand and they took off.
“Hey, what about me?” Blue was looking up at the sky, and then started to mumble. “I wish I could fly. I’d be following them whenever I wanted. I’ll get back to the ‘lab’, wherever it is, and surprise them. They’ll see…” Blue stormed off towards his ride back to Toad Town.

Episode 16: The Armored Koopa

Koopaking was flying the fastest he ever had towards E Gadd’s lab. Then he remembered the Game Boy Horror Gadd had given him. It was the whole reason JD had teamed up with Koopaking. He pulled out of his shell and called in to Gadd.
“Gadd! I need more repairs,” Koopaking yelled into the Game Boy.
“You know, I can’t just go around giving out things to you guys. One of these day you’ll have to pay me.”
“I will, but this is drastic! Get Koopa parts ready by tomorrow. We should be there by then.” Without hesitation, Koopaking turned off the game boy, and looked down at Lavo, who he was holding. Koopaking was getting sick again, from Lavo’s injuries, but he knew he had to hang on. If he were to let go, Lavo would plummet into the water, and he knew how much Lavo couldn’t stand water. “Just…hang on.”
“Koopaking,” JD shouted from a distance, “Slow down some! I can’t catch up to you!”
“No,” Koopaking shouted back, “ I can’t! I’ve got to get there in the shortest time possible, no matter what!” Koopaking blasted off even harder. I’ve got to get there, Koopaking thought, I just have to!
The sun had set and risen already, and Koopaking was just over Toad Town Harbor. JD and Pyroshi were far behind him. They were only ¾ over the ocean.
“Man, Koopaking can go fast sometimes, huh,” Pyroshi said, amazed by Koopaking’s speed. “Oh, right, you still can’t understand me.
“Just try not to talk,” JD snapped. “I won’t understand you, unless you’re just talking to yourself.”
“I was, thank you. Hey, I wonder what you say when I say Yoshi in my language?”
“Did you just say something in English?”
“Oh, Man, I don’t even know what I said!”
Koopaking finally arrived at the lab at about 10:30 AM. JD and Pyroshi just made it to the Harbor.
“Gadd, do you have the parts ready?”
“Yes, in fact, I found some Koopatrol armor!”
“Good enough.”
“Good lord, what happened to this Koopa?”
“That’s Lavo.”
E Gadd gasped, then got out his X-ray. Koopaking put Lavo on the bed and Gadd rolled the X-ray over to the bed and turned it on.
“His organs seem to be fine, but I believe that his body is in no condition to carry them. I’m going to have to put him in the armor. He won’t need his stomach, intestines, bladder, or anything else that deals with food and water. He will be ran by a power cell, not organic materials. Now then I need to get his brain, heart, and lungs over to the Armor. His spine, ribcage, and skull are the only bones intact. The rest will have to be from artificial.”
“Wow, this sounds serious.”
“Yes, it is. We’ll have to make the artificial body first. You can do that, and I’ll take care of Lavo.” Koopaking started on the body. He added arms and legs that functioned all the ways that Lavo’s used to. Then he when inside the shell armor and made a body that fit in the shell. He connected the arms and legs to the body. Then he put the gloves on the arms to make hands, and made the shoes as feet. He then put circuits into the empty tubes that were the arms, legs, feet, and hands. He made them connect to where the spine would be placed. Then, he picked up the head armor and made a neck for the spine to go. He put circuits through the jaws of the head and at the eyes, to make them move up and down, and in the neck to make it move. Then he stuck the shell on the body. He also equipped the armor with weapons.
“I finished.”
“Ok, now for my job.” Gadd got a surgical knife and cut open Lavo. Then he gently pulled out all the organs needed. And stuck them inside the armored body. Koopaking threw up from the site of the organs. Then E Gadd connected all the wires and circuits to the spine. Then he got the voice box and placed it in the throat. “There. He’s done.”
“Wow, he looks like Koopatrol!”
“Ok, Lavo, you can get up now.”
“Where… Am I?” Lavo’s jaws were moving. He bent his back up and put out his arms, moving them around as if he was blind. “Is it dark in here?
“You’re in Gadd’s lab. Can you not see,” E Gadd asked.
“No… Seriously, is it dark?”
“Oops, I forgot to build eyes!” Koopaking looked around the lab and found some spare eyes.
“Hey, I was going to use those!”
“What do you mean ‘build’? And why can’t I feel my arms or legs? Why can’t I feel anything?”
“Uh, I don’t know if you don’t remember or not,” Koopaking started, “But you where smashed by trees. It broke all your bones. You’re lucky to be alive!”
“What’s… Wrong with me,” Lavo sounded nervous. “Why am I unable to see? Did the tree squish my eyes?”
“No, I just can’t re-attach your real ones,” Koopaking was trying to explain to him at first, but then decided to cheer him up. “Don’t worry, you know how cool JD is right? Well you’re even cooler! And you can fly now!”
Lavo sighed. “Well, at least I can breathe. What do I look like?”
“You’ll see in two seconds, right when I attach your new eyes,” E Gadd replied.
“Okay.”
E Gadd opened the helmet and attached the eyes to the circuits Koopaking left for them. “There, you should be able to see now, and you have different options of seeing too.”
“Cool, but I want to know what I look like. Give me a mirror.” Koopaking directed Lavo to a mirror. He put his hands on his face in shock, although Gadd and Koopaking couldn’t see the expression. “I’M A KOOPATROL,” Lavo shrieked.
“Well, we had to put you in something durable,” E Gadd said anxiously. “This was the only thing at the time.”
“But you can fly now! Remember how much you’ve wanted to fly?”
“Yes… But not like, well, with no feeling!”
“I’m sorry, the Shadow Guard took us by surprise. Remember? He attacked you.”
“Yes, but why am I like this?”
“Your shell broke. We couldn’t do anything about it,” Koopaking said.
JD and Pyroshi arrived and gasped at the new Lavo.
“Is… That you Lavo?”
“Yoshi Yoshi,” Meaning, “Who are you?”
“Great, not even my own friends know who I am… Wait, who’s the Yoshi?”
“Ah, good, a Yoshi,” E Gadd said out of nowhere. “Now I have something to give this English Translator to.” Gadd stuck a small, throat-shaped machine down the Yoshi’s throat.
“What’s your problem!? Hey, I can speak your language now. How do I stop the itching throat?”
“You don’t, that’s just a side-effect.”
“WHAT??? I can’t stop it? But it’s annoying!” The red Yoshi kid started coughing.
“Pyro, what are you doing here?” Koopaking had just realized Pyroshi came with JD.
“I was talking to your friend right there about how you were doing, when we heard a scream. So when ran towards it and saw you there, but you basically just told JD to go to the lab. I wanted to come too.”
“No, I was the one who suggested to come.”
“You remember when I tried to talk to you? Yeah, that’s what I said.”
“Oh… OK.”
“So now what do we do,” Lavo asked, trying not to think about his new body or the story behind it. “Where are we to go?”
“Well,” Koopaking started, “Since we’ve been detected by two villains at Lavalava Island, I have no idea.”
“Why don’t we just stop this whole ‘villain’ thing, anyway,” Suggested JD. “I mean, the whole time I’ve with you, Koopaking, you’ve been dragging us all over the kingdom. Way more than I wanted to go.”
“But when we first started our journey together,” Koopaking recalled, “You told me that you and Lavo were traveling around the Kingdom!”
“Yeah, but not the WHOLE Kingdom.”
“Well,” Lavo said, “Maybe we could try to go back to Shiver City?”
“No, I have an idea, though. Why don’t we go to the Crystal Palace,” Koopaking recommended.
“Crystal Palace,” questioned the Yoshi.
“Yes,” E Gadd interrupted, “The Crystal Palace is located at the top of Shiver Mountain. It used to be used by the people of Shiver City, for worship to the stars. Then the passage was sealed because an ancient evil that threatened the city. There was only one way in, and only the mayors of Shiver City and Starborn Valley know how to open it, and hold the one of two keys that unlocks the passage. If you can find a way in, or just fly overhead, then you can get in. The Crystal Palace; I must warn you; may still have this evil. If so, you four will have to defeat it and free the temple once more.”
Koopaking’s, JD’s, Lavo’s, and Pyro’s mouths were dropped when he finished.
“What? Can a guy not tell a good story?”
“I have a better idea,” Pyro claimed. “Why don’t we just go to Toad Town? I mean, it’s not like they’ll look for us there.”
“They might, because Bowser’s castle rose under Peach’s, and now they hover right over Toad Town.”
“Oh.”
“What if--,” JD started.
“I’m not living with Goombas.”
“WHERE ELSE IS THERE!?”
“Boo Mansion,” E Gadd started again. “If you go there, I’m sure they will welcome you. I mean, they’re only a few miles from here, and you guys could easily come from there to here, and I’m sure Tubba Blubba wouldn’t realize it. Or, you guys could stay with me. I don’t think anyone has visited me before you four, and I know no one you’re running from knows where this lab is. So you can just stay here.”
“I never thought of that.” Koopaking put his hand to his chin. And looked at the floor, and then looked at his team. They were all exchanging glances. “Well, sounds good to me. I’m still going to check out that Boo Mansion place, though. Just incase.”
