Introduction
Those who wish to succeed in this area will need to be agile, able to make quick decisions, have keen sight, and make the bow an extension of themselves.
Here students will learn how to properly use various types of bows, perfect their aim, learn how to shoot moving targets while they are standing still, and learn how to shoot moving targets while they are on the move. One will also learn how to care for, and maintain their bow.
The fletching of arrows will be taught, though it is not necessary to master this skill as arrows will be provided. Once the grandmaster deems that the pupil has achieved a certain level of proficiency, and has proved themselves worthy, they will be promoted to the next rank. To be able to monitor progress, the grandmaster may give periodical tests and a final exam.
If the student fails to comply with instructions given by the grandmaster, they will fail as an archer. If the student does not follow the rules then they may be put on probation or even exiled from the School of Archery.

Ranks
Students of archery will earn badges to signify what level of study they have achieved. While training as an aprentice, archers will wear a circular green badge with a bronze arrow on it. Once they pass their final exam, the student will earn a the second half of their badge that consists of a bronze ring that will be placed around the outer ring of their badge.
[Aprentice of Archery]
The students who hold this rank may or may not already know how to use a bow, though, their skill level is not expected to be very high. Aprentices will be expected practice with the grandmaster and sometimes on their own. They will undergo tests periodically, and endure a final exam.
Practicing- Aprentices are be expected to train on their own twice a day, at least four days a week (of course as an RPer you aren't expected to write about each instance your practice, but mentioning details of the rigorous schedule in other RPs would be apreciated. One post about practicing on your own will suffice.) Training should consist of jogging, target practice, and stretching. If the student wishes to add other routines into their training, they may do so. When training with the grandmaster, they may decide to go along with the students on their normal training routine giving pointers or suggestions every so often, or they may choose to give a lesson to their pupil.
Some tests may include- Shooting a moving target from a certain distance away, during certain weather conditions, shooting a still target from horseback or while running, precision targeting something extremely small from a moderate distance, shooting a large target from a great distance, and anything else that pops into the grandmaster's mind.
[Novice of Archery]
The students who hold this rank will have a moderate skill level, worthy of their rank. They should be able to use a bow and be able to use it fairly well (ie. good aim, depth perception, able to shoot ninety percent of their targets, etc.) Novices will be expected practice with the grandmaster and sometimes on their own. They will undergo tests periodically, and endure a final exam to become a master of archery.
Practicing- Novices are be expected to train on their own twice a day, at least five days a week (of course as an RPer you aren't expected to write about each instance your practice, but mentioning details of the rigorous schedule in other RPs would be apreciated. One post about practicing on your own will suffice). Training should consist of jogging, target practice, and stretching. If the student wishes to add other routines into their training, they may do so. When training with the grandmaster, they may decide to go along with the students on their normal training routine giving pointers or suggestions every so often, or they may choose to give a lesson to their pupil.
The tests and trials will be similar to those that were taken at the apentice rank, though they will be more difficult and require more skill. There will likely be surprises so it is advisable not to become too comfortable.
[Master of Archery]
Students who wish to complete their badge for this level must be able to hit everything they aim at one-hundred percent of the time. They must attain the skill level that is worthy of their rank before they can be called a master of archery. Novices will practice mostly on their own, but will be examined by the grandmaster periodically. There will be one final test, it will be very long and very difficult. The student will have been given all of the skills needed to complete this task, but they will have had to be in constant practice of them to be able to pass the exam. Be prepared for anything.
Practicing- Masters are be expected to train on their own twice a day, at least five days a week (of course as an RPer you aren't expected to write about each instance your practice, but mentioning details of the rigorous schedule in other RPs would be apreciated. As a master the pupil will be given more freedom than in previous ranks for they will soon complete their training as an archer and become a full master of archery.
