A Day Of Giving Thanks..., what day...

So are we still planning to do a Thanksgiving Dinner? i would really like to be able to see our boy VIC in a festive environment.

So if the VeE eYe CeE can let us know a day/weekend that would work for him i'd really like to get the logistics moving on this. Some out of towners are hoping to make it, but need to request the days off. let me know!

Code Name VEyEC shoulkd be back by the 20th or so. Just let me know whats up and Ill plan accordingly. And thanks guys for inviting me to the thanksgiving dinner

Would the 28th be do-able? its the saturday after thanksgiving day. maybe give us a chance to ball it up a little that morning.

i will be taking the weekend of the 21st/22nd off to practice at the plex or play that bowling green thing...........

doing what I said I was going to do for the dinner. How all out we going? I should be able to bring my deep fryer and I can get the peanut oil as well. Please let me know the plan so I know what i need to bring and do.

the 28th is doable for this guy. What do you want me to bring. Because if its a hungry mouth and a FatChinaman I got those covered.

GM was a total tool that didnt care to EVER listen to me. He tried to finish sentences for me and just hurry me out of the office. I was just trying to ask the dude some damn questions and see if I could become a server. He also made me do some pretty shady sidework that I shouldnt of had to do........especially how busy I am.

The other managers were cool as hell and actually cared. They listened when I talked and actually engaged in conversation.

The cooks were total dicks! They made fun of me for going to school to become an HVAC Tech. They constantly took stuff from my area leaving me with nothing that I needed while I was in a RUSH. I worked right next to their line so just the constant poking they did I got fed up.

The other attendants that worked before me would front everything instead of stock for me. I made several notes of this and asked the GM to say something..........he didnt. BUT........when I closed shift before another employee started, I WAS WATCHED to make sure I stocked everything.

The waiter/waitress area was awesome to try and get through so I could get back into the kitchen..........they all just stood around and talked. I had to basically YELL "EXCUSE ME" for anyone to move out of my way.

Just too damn stressful. Add school and a kid to that and I just wanted to blow the MF'er up. I would get up for school at 6 and leave by 7. After school I would head straight to work and be there till close. Depending on the day, I wouldnt get out of there and home till 11:30pm or 12:30am. I never got to see Payton. I couldnt hold her or anything as she didnt want anything to do with me. I since have caught back up with her and feel loved once more. :wub:

Nothing in the works yet but I need something VERY soon. Trying to offload some guns/gear to back myself up for now.

Why does it seem like I am the only person that cares about a job. I try to go above and beyond at every job I have..........only to get crapped on every single time.

too bad about ruby's. their loss. you dont need that kinda stress and bs pay on you anyways. not seeing your kid sucks too. best of luck on finding something better.

i know exactly what your saying. my job loves to screw me over. it seems like i'm the only one that actually tries to work and do my job while everone els just gets to stand around.

as for giving thanks day. i would love to come hang eat drink. but as the formentioned job..... probably not going to happin......

(i'm just glad i don't have a kid yet lol :D i would go crazy)

So i think we agreed on the 28th as the official day of giving thanks!

I figure a little ball in the daytime followed by good eats in the evening! let me know what ya'll think.

Also please try to give me an idea of who all is coming, that way we can prepare enough for all.

D, i'm sorry to hear about your job. there definitely needs to be a balance between life, school, and work. finding that balance can be difficult but it is imperative, b/c w/o balance can come overall burnout that may adversely effect your school; and that can't happen. stay focused on the finish line, eyes on the prize, and you'll do just fine. i'm sure something will come along soon.

We are going to fry one turkey, rotiserrize another and bake a ham, then we'll have various side dishes.

Bring some dranks to drank on and some dranks to share, and if u want to make a lil contribution to the cause, it's not obligatory but that would be really cool as there is a lot of oil and goods to be needed.

We'll try to eat around 6ish (which really means 7ish if u know anything about our "timelines")

so ballin in the day, prolly skip ruby's; then we'll roll over to my house and start getting down!
