Latics have reported that they are in discussions with an as yet unnamed new main sponsor for the next two seasons. The deal, which is believed to be worth £250,000 to Latics is close to being settled.

Former Chairman Chris Moore has stated that the deal does not mean the end of Torex's sponsorship. Mr. Moore, who has put in the region of £4million of his own money in to the club recently, has stated that Torex will be looking at another sponsorship option, possibly sponsoring the youth teams.
