It was still before curfew, and Talynn had climbed all the way up through the castle to the Astronomy tower with every intention of conveniently letting time get away from her. She was bored silly, and didn't feel like turning in for the night with nothing to do. So, she'd grabbed herself a bag of goodies (a couple of bottles of butterbeer and loads of candy), and had made way for the tower.

Her homework was done and she had no books to keep her company, so why not attempt to stay out after hours? It wasn't like she hadn't done it before.

Having levitated a few large pillows from the classroom up through the trapdoor with her, she plopped them down to form a makeshift pallet so that she could lounge back to look up at the darkening sky. Already there were several stars starting to pop out as the last remnants of daylight were being overtaken by the night.

She settled herself down, plunking her bag into her lap. She took out one of the bottles and cast a quick chilling charm on it before she opened it and took a sip. She loved the taste of butterbeer, whether it was cold or hot - it was her favorite drink of all in the magical world.

She had just fluffed the pillow where she was about to lay her head so that she could gaze up at the sky, when she heard another set of footsteps on the ladder, and turned her attention in the direction of the trapdoor to see who was about to join her...
