I use the NABD forum photo album http://photoalbum.disabledbiker.co.uk/
And then copy the info into my posts on this forum.

I'm pretty sure that one of the other lads could give you a better idea of how to do it, I use the NABD album because I use it for other forums as well as this one.

Sorry I can't be more help, if it hasn't got a throttle I'm lost really.

Regards
Gary

There seems to be a plan for my rebuild to be done by the show in May.

Thanks to the lads who bobbed over tonight and came up with a few great ideas, thanks Dave for showing me how to pop ball joints and the other lads for the moral support and ideas.

I have a better idea of how to proceed now and the brushing and painting will be out of the way in the next few days.
Piccys once Mr g says it's ok to post loads so as not to interfere with his maintenance.

More Chaos later.

I now have the steel I need for the chassis and can crack on with mocking it up to see if what I have in mind will work.
Thanks very much for sorting the steel out Mick.

I am also going to get a short length of 2 inch box or channel of the same size to fabricate new rear damper mounts to take the Spax adjustables I had lying about in an old tea chest.

I need to work out how to adapt my spring plates to take the new type of damper.
It'll involve a hole, that much is certain, it's just working out where the hole should be unsure.gif rolleyes.gif .

I am also trying to find out which type of engine I have, Dave recons it's a long block and his sooty finger says the head has been fiddled with. The box may be a corsair. not a standard Xflow.

I'm just waiting on the loan of a set of ball joint splitters so I can get the hubs off for some paint. I have decided to use hammerite as it goes a lot further than you'd think. I used the smallest tin they make and still covered all of the rear of the chassis.
I recon the middle sized tin at £20-00 should see the job finished.

I have a few concers with one or two bits having thought about the discussion in the garage and need to make some calls about a newish steering column, mine has no crush zone in it and I'll need one if I'm hill climbing the car.

One step forward and two steps back, but it's moving along a little and each job sorted is one more step to driving it again.

More chaos when I've had a lie down wink.gif

Hi Gary,

Not sure what you mean by a set of ball joint spliters but I have a splitter that resembles a split chisel that you whack with a big hammer!

If it's any use to you I can drop it of one night.

Same goes for the 2" box, if you can't find any let me know.

Thanks Mick,
Will do, I'm starting on the seat mounts tomorrow so will let you know when it's all mocked up.

I'm going down to the scrappy tomorrow to see about the box and a steering column.

I'll give you a ring if I come unstuck.

thanks.
