Let's see, this would be revision three of the first post? Something like that. Anyway. This is the infamous Dien's Graphics Warehouse. Here, you can buy graphics from me for a very low cost.




So let's say, in a purely hypothetical manner, that you're new to .hack//DIVERGENCE, and you're not really all that good at photoshop or any other graphics program (in fact, the only thing you have is MS Paint and you're about as artistic as a crocodile's big toe). You go to the graphics shops area, only to find that you'll have to blow half of your newly-earned 1,000 GP on one purchase just to get anything decent in terms of graphics. Frustrated as you are, you instead go and spend money on scrolls and neglect the avatars and banners that everyone else seems to love and enjoy so much. As a result, you end up having to go weeks before you can get your graphics, and you feel left out because you couldn't afford the awesome graphics that everyone else enjoys so much.

This is why Dien's Graphics Warehouse exists. It is my goal in this shop to provide a place where people can get quality graphics for extremely affordable prices. I don't really need GP, I just enjoy making graphics and then seeing them used.




Well, I've been a graphic artist since the early 1990s, when my dad installed a program known as MGI Photosuite on our new state-of-the-art (now paper weight) Gateway PC. Over the years, I became very knowledgable about that program, never making anything too amazing, but getting a lot of experience with the program.

In early 2002, I joined an automotive enthusiast forum, and was introduced to the concept of the PSC: Photochop Competition. Basically, through two years of these competitions, I honed my skills in Photoshop by taking pictures of various automobiles and manipulating them to my whim. After a point, I started placing first in these competitions quite regularly, my work in this field among the most realistic my friends had seen (or so they said). Time kept moving, though, and I eventually all but abandoned that forum.

2004 left me here at Divergence, and in the spring of the following year I opened this shop. Since then I have created entire multitudes of graphics for members of Divergence, ranging across a wide spectrum of styles, techniques, and sizes.

Currently, my program of choice is Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended, on my computer are well over 1,000 fonts, and I'm always open to new options and ideas.




What I need from you is as follows (to order, just post as much of this information as you can):
- Any and all images you want incorporated into the design. You don't have to have a specific image in mind, but it helps.
- Any and all text you want included into the design.
- If you have any ideas for how it should look, just tell me as best you can and I'll make it work.
- The size of the banner/avatar you want to use. Again, you don't have to know specifics. If you don't know numbers, just tell me what you do know.
- Whether or not you're going to be hosting the image yourself.
- Any additional information you can give me on the graphics in question. For instance, who does the man facing to the left represent? What is the graphic supposed to mean? How will the graphic be used? Things of this nature.




For all graphics, I use a very precise formula to determine the cost. First, I multiply the image's width by its height, and then I divide that by 400. Rounding to the nearest whole, that number becomes the cost. For all you math junkies, it goes like this:

C = (W*H)/400

On top of that, if there's anything you want changed about a graphic I've already made for you, the edit is free. Now, to spare everyone from mathematics to figure out how much their graphics are going to cost, I've come up with a chart displaying the costs of various commonly-used sizes for graphics:

Now, let me explain the fees and discounts (all fees are applied before any discounts):

• Hosting - If you need me to host your image for a prolonged period, this fee applies.
• Customization - If I'm supposed to alter an image in any way before using it in the graphic (e.g. change the eye color, add wings, or just make something from scratch), this will apply (possibly in multiples, but no more than 25 GP).
• Set Discount - If you order more than one graphic at a time, you get 15% taken off the pricetag, plain and simple.
• Clanmate Discount - This applies to anyone in a clan with me (Anima Mundi, Moderators and Staff, Unity, Swordbreakers, Eventide Crescendo, and anyone who is or was in mainplot at any point in time).
• Clan Purchase Discount - If you're purchasing graphics for an entire clan, this discount applies (note: you only have to pay for a clan banner once ever with me).
• Repeat Customer Discount - Not your first time shopping here? This discount is for you.
• Procrastinated Discount - This only applies if I took too long in making it for you. Only I can determine this, but usually if it took me more than a month to get to your order you'll get the graphic for free.
• I Couldn't Do It Discount - If for any reason I was unable to produce something presentable, I will pay you in GP the amount that you would have paid (note, this doesn't apply to excessively ridiculous orders).

As an added note, I reserve the right to adjust the price at my discression based upon how much time and effort was spent on the graphic in question.

I will go first. I would like an 80x80 avatar. pretty much I just want my current avatar only BETTER! Meaning not fuzzy and pixilated and better drawn. I can pay extra! Hehe, thanks.

I don't suppose you could tell me just who that character is (it would really help in finding a higher-quality image to use)?

The character is Klowal, or Braon Febdash (Baron Atsryua Syun Atos Febdash) from the Crest of the Stars series (anime or manga). I only modified the hair color, removed the tiara thingy, and changed his clothes colors.

Could I get an 80x80 avatar as well?

Description: Twin blade, amber eyes, flaming red hair done up in a braid that hangs down past his waist when he stands.. black pants, maroon shirt, black cloak.. ( a head shot is fine... and I guess he has a griffon tatto on his face-"He had black griffon designed tattoo’s plastered over his left and right cheeks, going up and over his eyes slightly, even folding over his eye lids, having the lines connect the second he blinked." )

Since no one else is wanting to do this, I shall ask you too. I don't have a pic of him, I was kinda hoping you could draw something? Please? I can pay extra, if you like.

Vahn, it's not that nobody "wants" to do it, its just that you are forcing people to draw it for you. Drawings take time, and from the looks of it, you don't have that time to wait. Just search for an avatar that's similar to your description on google or something. That takes a lot less time and -gasp- you might actually FIND what you're looking for! Le-gasp!

Okay, look. It's not that I am in a hurry for it, or don't have the time to wait for one. It has to do with the fact that NOBODY even acknoledges it! They may have seen it, they may be working on it for all I know. But nobody says they are, and so I don't think people are paying attention. It is rude, and before you go and jump down my throat, please, try and get all the information.

Vahn, Kumori is correct. I don't really think you'd want me to draw you character, as my skills with photoshop don't translate well into original fabrications. I will, however, give it a shot for the 5 GP extra charge (modifying pictures isn't all that hard).

And Blue Fox, would you be alright if I edited this picture to match the description you're giving me?

Jpec07, I would like a 400x125 banner using this picture. In dark-silver words, cursive style, can you have it say "No matter where you are, I will find you..."? Whatever the cost, I will pay it.

I'm back. I would like to get a 400x125 banner using this pic- .The changes to the character are the same as you did to the avatar, but the sleeves are white. The image will go on the right of the banner, with blue filling the rest of the banner(in any pattern, style, etc. you would prefer). In this area I would like these words written in the stylwe you feel fits bests: The Arctic- My Home, My Prison, My Salvation. Wandering Forever the Endless Land of Snow -Blue fox.
Tell me if this is to long and I'll edit it.

I'll get on that in a bit, Blue. For now, though, I thought I'd coment on Ashura's banner and how much I am liking it. Whoever drew that has the most incredible sense of luminoscity and brightness; all I had to do in coloring it was select the parts, colorize, and they were perfect. I'll have both editions, the colorized and the non-colorized up by the end of the night.

I'm not entirely sure about the chrome text, or the cursive for that matter (kinda hard to read). If you want me to change it I'll be more than willing to.
