Empty Corridor #2, Dungeon leading to Slytherin's Room

"I don't like crowds either"
she said
"I was actually heading to my dormitory, it's usually empty until the evening"
The comment she made about chat up lines made her smile a bit
"I suppose I'm still a bit too young for guys to notice me yet... but I am in no rush. Thank you.. for saying my name is beautiful. It was my grandmother's... who is dead as well. I's sorry. I'm not much of a conversationalist, all I know are books... rather sad I suppose"
She looked at the girl
"Do you like to read?"

Nemah was an unusual Ravenclaw. Books had never been her sort of thing. It was only ocassionally that a passer by would see her fixed to a book and often it was poetry. In fact all she read was poetry. It was one of many loves she possessed. The girl had remembered her of a special book she kept with notes and lines merged together in a messy fashion. Her idea book as it were. Nemah wondered where that had gone to. Her body seemed to go into shock when Maureen refused her boy comment. Even if the girl didn't know it Nemah was sure someone had be glancing at her from afar. A prefect picture of beauty like her would have admirers. "Your never too young for boys missy!" Nemah playfully pointed her index finger at the girl. "Seriously. When I was your age I had them queuing at my feet. It must have been the blonde curls. It gave me a lot of attention." She mumbled on. Maybe that was what provoke her to extingsh the blonde, but red seemed to distraction people even more. Red definitely suited her personality. That was something the girl hadn't shared about this whole boy situation. Nemah saw the flicker in Maureen's eyes, and was curious.

Maureen had to smile when the girl began talking about boys
"Well... if they notice me, they are doing a really good job of not letting me know"
she said and looked at her
'There are a few boys in my grade that ... are acceptable I believe, but they wouldn't talk to me, even if I started a conversation with them"
she said
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
asked Maureen curiously

That was young loves trouble, both sides were scared to talk to the other. Maureen just had to be confident and take her future into her own hands. Waiting for a boy to talk to you never worked, Nemah had learnt that from experience but it was nice when someone noticed you enough to talk to you, to take you out. It reminded her of her times with Garret at the start of their relationship. It had been so exciting and new. It still was now but in other fashion. Nemah smiled devilishly at the girl. She had no idea what this school was like. No one stayed quiet and hidden for long. Nor would she be able to get out of the way for long. "Sometimes boys are pathetic and show no bondness. You have to take into your own hands. Be a woman." She uttered. Was she secretly corrupting this girl? Nemah had no idea where that had come from. Her new friend had livened her mood dramatically. This was the most fun, if you could call it fun, that she had had for a while. Most of her friends had left the school or were too busy for have little charades. "My boyfriend. Well Garret has been missing out on all the fun. He left school last year leaving me alone here. I guess I miss his company. He seemed to make the nights goes faster." she rambled.

"Why did he leave?"
she asked
and then looked behind the girl at people walk by the corridor. She looked at the boys and cocked her head. Could one of them actually like her. Her thoughts began drifting around to certain boys she had taken a liking too. This wasn't like her at all. She shook her head and looked back at Nemah, with interest in her face

Maybe she hadn't made it that obvious. "Garret left because he finished his schooling. He was a couple years older than me and it was envitable." Nemah smiled softly. She tried to hide the sudden emotion lingering throughout her veins. She couldn't even remember the last time she had seen him, or hugged him. Her head shock side to side trying to control herself. Nemah wasn't going to have an episode infront of this girl.

"Oh, I am sorry"
she said and felt bad for her. She couldn't imagine not being able to see someone she loves. She knew it was different,. but she missed her parents. Yes, they were death eaters, but they did love her, and she loved them
"Well, Christmas is not too far way, if you think about it, and I['m sure you'll see him soon"
she said and then looked at her
"What does he look like?"

Maureen had a point. Christmas was quite soon and she hoped Garret would invite her to his. Although the last time she was around that house all hell broke loose. Maybe that was what kept her from visiting. The man didn't coming over to the school grounds lot anyway and hogsmeade when she was around. It still wasn't the same. "Your right." Nemah smiled at the girl once more. She definitely had smarts this one. Her figure raised from the cool stone wall as she wondered gingerly down the corridor for a length. She didn't go far. The activity was only for the benefit of her legs that had become stiff standing still. "He's tall, dark and handsome. I know its a little stereotypical but its true."

"Nice"
she said and smiled. Maureen was 11, so she had a hard time picturing herself with someone tall and handsome. She hoped someday she's have someone like that who cared for her
"I think for Christmas, I'll be staying here.Much better than where my grandfather is"
she said and smiled
"Do you spend Christmas with him every year?"

Nemah had secretly wished she'd stayed here for christmas more often. There was so much less stress here. No angry parent shouting for you from the bottom of the stairs, or peeling vegetables. She swore her mother made her do it manually on purpose. She smiled towards the girl. Maureen obviously was a little depressed that christmas would be so empty this year. "I'm sure it isn't that bad with your Grandfather and anyway if you stay in school you get special treatment from the house elves. Turst me on that one!"
