CANON HOGWARTS TIMELINE

Prologue
382 BC: Ollivanders opens for business, selling fine wands.
c 993: Hogwarts Founded - by Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw & Salazar Slytherin.
early 1000s: Slytherin creates the Chamber of Secrets.
early 1000s: Quidditch starts to form as a wizarding phenomenon.
October 31, 1492: Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington dies from near decapitation.
1741: Dilys Derwent becomes headmistress of Hogwarts School. In doing so she leaves her previous job as a Healer at St. Mungo's Hospital.

Start of Something Great
c. 1844: Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore is born.
1941-1942: Lord Voldemort opens the Chamber of Secrets. Moaning Myrtle killed.
1945: Albus Dumbledore defeats the Dark Wizard Grindewald.
c. 1956: Albus Dumbledore becomes Headmaster of Hogwarts School.
1970: The Whomping Willow is planted at Hogwarts

The Beginning of Potter
July 31, 1980: Harry Potter born to James and Lily Potter
October 31, 1981: After Lord Voldemort kills Lily and James Potter, Hagrid rescues Harry and delivers him to his Aunt and Uncle on Privet Drive.
October 31, 1991: The Halloween Feast is interrupted by a Mountain Troll who nearly kills Hermione, but is defeated by Harry and Ron.
June 4, 1992: Harry successfully defeats Lord Voldemort and the Sorcerer's Stone is destroyed.
May 30, 1993: Dumbledore is reinstated as headmaster.

The Last Chronicles of Potter
June 1997: The Battle of Hogwarts. While Dumbledore is away, a gang of Death Eaters, led by Draco Malfoy, sneaks into Hogwarts through the vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement. They battle the Order of the Phoenix, and when Dumbledore and Harry return,
June 1997: After a standoff, Snape arrives and kills Dumbledore.
June 1997: Dumbledore's funeral. Much of the British Wizarding World comes to Hogwarts to bid farewell to the "greatest headmaster Hogwarts ever had."

The Fall of The Dark Lord
May 2 1998: Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters takes down Hogwarts Castle.
May 2 1998: Lord Voldemort is defeated for good, at the hands of Harry Potter.

Black Forests Arc Timeline

Chapter One
June 2004: Hogwarts school is raided by demons, and other tribes, and a war amongst the students/staff breaks out.
August 2007: The school shuts down temporary. All Teachers and Students are released.
Early Winter of 2008: Ricardo V. Black and James Carter are instated as the first Co-Headmasters of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Late Winter of 2008: Headmaster Black selects Brittany Tester as Deputy Headmistress, along with a brand new staff of Professors.
May 15th 2009: Hogwarts School opens up for a new term, after over a year of shutdown.
