I've created this Topic just for Ambassador Reports. The Original Reports Topic has been changed to Ambassador Talk, which will be, well Ambassador Talk.

Seeing as everyone is busy once-in-a-while, i've made the Reports to be Bi-Monthly, or Monthly If you would like.

Ambassadors should report on everything going on in their forum(s). This includes Member/Post Count, aswell as what events are going along. Also, what is the Forum mainly posting about.

If multiple Ambassadors are working at a certain forum, why not alternate the reports?

Thanks,

-Phil

Well this is a sort of report and its not. World of Chaos and The Spawning Pool are both ticking over nicely though both have been hit by the lack of activity that summer usually brings. There's not much else to report on that front really.

The other thing I was going to say is a bit OT so sorry but I didn't want to start a new topic about this. I dont know if you remember me talking about doing another inter forum AOD at some point well I've sorted all the rules out and made a little banner as well so just thought I'd post it up here.

Warhammer empire: nice site, still growing in a slow but steady way.
Main discussions are like everywhere: " How can I beath this army of that army..."

I'm however very jealous of their huge range of articles in the Warroom. We should have one to.

Where will this InterForum AOD be held?

Anyways, here are my Reports for the Month of August:

Druchii.net: Well, Druchii.net is still down. Let's hope Kitrik tries to find what's wrong with the server and gets it back up.

The Underempire: Still growing very very strong. They've passed 105,000 posts and they have 1,400+ members now. They don't have much "talk" on one a certain topic, but they are very, very active.

Warmakers Campaign: The Warmakers Campaign is still developing, they are looking for more people to be interested in the Campaign. There's still alot of talk about Factions, so why not check it out?

Warhammer Total War Productions:
The Unofficial Mod has finally released the first Mod, which contains:

Empire Factions (Altdorf & Middenheim)
Hordes of Chaos Faction
High Elf Faction
New User Interface and Loading Screens
Many other miscellaneous changes

This works with Rome: Total War, so if you have it, why not Try it out? They have a Forum in there own with 17500+ Posts and 343 members. They're just waiting till the newest unit comes out.

It doesn't take place anywhere, i made sure of t hat because I know people are a bit funny about having to go to other forums places etc, basically everyone on this site who joins u fights 3 battles against each other and the top 4 from this site fight against the top 4 from all the other sites in a knock out compitition. I post the results on each site. You dont have to join any other site or anything though it can be funny to go onto other sites and tell them about how your forum will crush them. Last time round Nightbringer admin on WoC posted on The Herdstone that WoC would beat them and prove themselves the best chaos site, The Herdstone subsequently won, but it was a light bit of banter. After all thats what this thing is about getting more inter forum communication and generally providing a bit a laugh.

Here are the first draft of the new rules.

INTER FORUM ARENA OF DEATH
Version 2.0

To compete in this Inter Forum Arena of Death you need to create your warrior. There are several generic profiles to choose from (to represent each of the main races). Each of these base profiles give you have a certain amount of experience points to spend on statistic enhancements and skills so you can personally tailor your fighter to your own style. As well as this you also have a certain amount of gold with which you will have to purchase your weapons armour and equipment with. As such each persons fighter will be different and it’s unlikely that any two will be exactly the same.

Basic Profile 1
M 4
WS 3
BS 3
S 3
T 3
W 2
I 3
A 1
Ld 7

Experience Points - 25
Gold - 30

Ld 5

Experience Points - 25
Gold - 30

Equipment

Weapons:
Sword 10 gold
(Requires 1 hand, Parry, +1 armour save with Shield)
Axe 7 gold
(Requires 1 hand, additional -1 armour save modifier, +1 armour save with Shield)
Morning Star 12 gold
(Requires 1 hand, +1 strength in first round of combat, cannot be used with another hand weapon)
Fail 8 gold
(Requires 2 hands, +2 strength in first round of combat)
Great Weapon 16 gold
(Requires 2 hands, +2 strength, always strikes last unless user has charged in that turn)
Halberd 10 gold
(Requires 2 hands, +1 strength)
Mace 5 gold
(Requires 1 hand, Concussion, +1 armour save with Shield)
Dagger/Long Knife 2 gold
(Requires 1 hand, +1 armour save with Shield)

Armour:
Light Armour 7 gold
(6+ armour save)
Heavy Armour 12 gold
(5+ armour save)
Full Plate Armour 20 gold
(4+ armour save)
Shield 7 gold
(Requires 1 hand, +1 armour save)
Buckler 5 gold
(Requires 1 hand, Parry)
Note: You cannot have both a shield and a buckler, you may have one or the other as you need the other hand to carry a weapon.
Helmet 3 gold
(Head Protection)

Miscellaneous:
Lucky Charm 10 gold
(Negates first hit suffered)
Note: You may have multiple lucky charms if you wish.
Grisly Trophies/War Paint/Ugly Face/Bad Smell/Scary Appearance 5 gold
(Causes Fear)
Note: when combined with the ‘Causes Fear’ ability opponent takes test with a -1 modifier to their Ld (you truly are scary!).

Special Rules:
Parry – A piece of equipment with the parry rule means a single dice is rolled after your opponent has rolled to hit with his attacks. If your parry roll is higher than your opponents highest ‘to hit’ role then that hit is discarded. For example if your opponent rolls a 5, 4 and a 2 to hit, and your roll to parry is a 6 his roll of a 5 to hit would be discarded.
Having two swords has no effect on parrying. However if you have a sword and a buckler your roll to parry can be re-rolled.

+1 armour save with shield – This rule is exactly the same as it is in Warhammer.

Concussion – A person knocked down by a weapon with this rule will count as being stunned.

Head Protection – This negates the effects of ‘concussion’ and a person with a helmet will only be stunned on the role of a 4 rather than a 3 or a 4.

Requires x hands – The shows how many hands are required to use that particular item. For example a great weapon requires two hands to use and therefore you will be unable to use any other item of equipment that requires one hand, or two hands to use, as obviously no one has more than two hands (No three handed mutant warriors allowed!).

Any unused gold is discarded.

Statistic Enhancements and Skills

+ 1 WS [3 points]
+ 2 WS [5 points]
+ 1 S [7 points]
+ 1 T [8 points] Note: This option is not available for basic character profile 6
+ 1 W [7 points]
+ 1 I [3 points]
+ 2 I [5 points]
+ 1 A [5 points]
+ 2 A [10 points]

Fearsome [3 points] - Your warrior is ugly and/or scary and as such causes ‘fear’.
True Grit [7 points] - Your warrior is covered in scars and no longer knows the meaning of pain. As such they subtract -1 from the strength of their opponents attacks. This only affects the roll required to wound, it does not effect the armour saving throw modifier.
Bulging Biceps [7 points] – Your warrior strength is truly prestigious as such he is at +1 to wound his opponent.
Dodge [5 points] - Your warrior is well known for their quick reactions and reflexes. They have a 6+ ward save to represent this.
Step Aside [10 points] – Your warrior is a master at avoiding blows and attacks through their skill and reactions. They have a 5+ ward save to represent this. [Note: This option is not available for basic character profile 3]
Jump Up [3 points] – Your is always quick to his feet, as such whenever he is ‘knocked down’ he immediately stands back up again.

With the statistic enhancements you may not take multiples. So you cannot take two lots of +2 attacks. However you could take +1 attack [5 points] and +2 attacks [10 points] so overall your warrior would have an extra 3 attacks for a total of 15 points. Having the skills ‘Dodge’ and ‘Step Aside’ does not provide your warrior with a 4+ ward save, you would only have a 5+ ward save as ‘Step Aside’ would take precedence so ‘Dodge would be wasted.

Example Warrior

Name: Hans Kruger
Using Basic Profile 1.

Equipment:
Sword (10), heavy armour (12) and buckler (5)
Total 27 gold

Statistic Enhancements and Skills:
+ 1 WS (3)
+ 1 I (3)
+ 2 1 (5)
+ 1 W (7)
True Grit (7)
Total 25 experience points

So new profile would be
M 4
WS 4
BS 3
S 3
T 3
W 3
I 4
A 2
Ld 7

With True Grit skill.

The Fights

Each fight last a total of six turns, that is 12 rounds of combat. Each warrior will have a dice roll added to their initiative the one with the highest total will get to charge. After that fighting will be conducted in initiative order. If warriors have equal initiative then it will be a roll off to see who goes first. As some of you who have already participated in on of my Inter Forum Arena of Deaths I’ll be using the Mordhiem rules for fighting, so when you warrior looses their last wound they aren’t necessarily dead you roll a D6 and on a 1-2 they are knocked down, 3-4 they’re stunned and on a 5-6 they are out of action (though not actually dead, dead). This is where things like helmets and the skill ‘Jump Up’ can come in handy as you will probably be knocked down and/or stunned at least a couple of times during your fights.

Your warrior will get points during the fight depending on how well they do. You get points for every time you wound your opponent, winning the fight and for how quickly you finish them off. Positions are worked out by points. So in the qualifying stages the four people with the most points on each forum will go through to compete against all the other qualifiers from all the other forums.

For people who have played in previous versions of this there is no longer any injury rolls made for people who have been taken out in fights. The main reason that I’ve taken this out is for practical reasons, i.e. last time there were 35 people taking part and it was just too much to keep track of all the injuries etc, especially when this time round there will be (hopefully) even more people taking part.

Yeah, but off topic counts. He doesn't post there very often though. I'd say he still would have around 9000-10000 posts if you don't count them.

To all ambassadors:

Please give a reply on Shadow Skink's hard work. Does everybody agree with this?

The warhammer empire forum is doing fine.

You mean Shadow's Idea?

I give it the Thumbs Up, and i say TPV will join, but I don't have power, TFO does. I'll go ahead and ask him if TPV can join this InterForum AoD. Or, should you do it yourself Shadow? I'm not to familiar with how the AoD is going to work even though you just explained it to me.. tongue.gif

Thanks for pushing my idea in my absence SkinkyNagash.

@Phillee I'd prefer to PM TFO myself about it since its my crazy idea. I'm sure when I first mentioned the inter forum AOD in a post somewhere on here he replied to the thread saying he had nothing against it. I don't really want to ask him about it yet as since I'm not back at uni yet and as such time online is limited due to work if he does reply to a PM of mine it might be more than a week before I can get back to him.

lol he's probably reading this as I type anyway ninja.gif

One thing I would like to make a request of though of my fellow ambassadors is that when the time comes and I'm kicking this thing into full gear would people who are ambassadors to different sites and know the admins etc be able to help get them involved. I'm in touch with the admins on a few sites (the ones that joined in last time).

The sites that I'm in touch with the admin are:
TSP
World of Chaos
High Elves
The Waystone/Asari (either one or both if waystone is still active)
The Herdstone

they're all the ones that competed last time and if TFO gives TPV the ok for joining that'll be 6 sites.

Last time a Da Warpather on The Herdstone told me to let them know next time I was doing one of these and Chateau Montrefort said they'd be interested as well. So my request is is there any ambassadors here that think they could get other sites involved with the inter forum AOD when the time comes since Admins reply much more readily to people they know rather than those they dont.

PS World of Chaos is ok there was a slight revamp over there here's the new address.

Its weird reading topics about people PMing me like I'm alsways away somewhere and its the only way to speak to me (Although to be fair it is the best way to get my attention).

Anyway you haven't sent me a PM shadow so I'll save you the time by saying that I have no problem with TPV joining an intersite AoD.

Okay, Druchii.net is down (as it has been for 3 months) and TGUO is going down for 5 months. When it returns, it will have many appreciated updates (including showing Blessed Spawnings for Lizzies) and a slicker look. Looks like I won't have any sites to ambassador to for a while.

Not much going on at Dicetroll, except for the fact that the partie is over because the mods have returned from their Holidays (sp?). They have a new look, but it's still under construction.

Warseer: Getting quite huge now, loads of WE related topics, even more than on Asrai I guess wink.gif then again, there are only a few qualityposts supporting them. In the rumours section, more and more dwarf rumours are popping up. Tactics sees alot of, well, everything. Same with armylists, I recon this'll change pretty soon once people have tested their WE, resulting in huge amounts of useless rate my list topics (I saw it with Brets, Beasts and OK, so its presumable WE will get it too)
General discussion: DOW/HE revision, Ruleschangeposts (eg: "should hw+shield go?") and WE ofcourse

40k section: nothing special

IK warmachine section: has roughly been shaken alive now that a new game is announced (hordes) which will also be a supplement to IKWarmachine. Quite sweet I must say.

Druchii.net is "alive" now smile.gif

And about my area. So Legancy of Ancient camapign is stopped. Reasone is that our main admin had car accidient some time ago. We was trying to play this campaign without him but it was to hard (we coulnd't make some changes on the map and site). When He will come back camapign will be continued.

And the campaign is now only thing that COTEC is doing. Nothing more is there for now.

Btw. I'm seeking new players to my fraction ;p

Right while not a Bi-monthly report this is somewhat related to ambassadorness.

Since the internet is now getting set up at my uni house and everything else is beginning to settle down I'm going to start passing the word around about the inter-forum aod. I'm going to PM all of the admins from the different sites I'm on and get them involved. If any other ambassadors to other sites could find out from the admins if they're interested in joining up I'd really appreciate it.

Cheers in advance.

If you want Shadow I can contact the many of the major site's admins using my connections wink.gif ninja.gif (Not as impressive as it sounds). Would save you some work and maybe get more attention from some admins.
