Aftermath #2

Natu comments as a doctor she's taken an oath to hold life sacred, but her fellow Lanterns point out this is Sinestro they're talking about. She decides to join them. Elsewhere, Kyle, Guy and Kilowog are cleaning up Oa ofter the recent battles discussing that Kyle's relationship with Natu seems to be falling apart after he asked Sinestro to help save her from the Weaponer. Suddenly Marro, the Green Lantern crypt keeper, arrives asking for their help to prevent Salaak from carrying out the Guardians order to have Krona buried there. They argue with Salaak but ultimately he decides to go do something else and says they shouldn't be there when he gets back. Natu's group arrives at the Guardians citadel and subdue the guard, but before they break in, Kyle arrives with the intention of talking to Natu, now forced to stop them from making a mistake, but Natu fights him determined to carry out what they're there to do.

Salaak finds Ganthet with Saint Walker and demands the Blue Lantern leaves, but Ganthet stops him. Salaak explains he's there because the Guardians want to discuss something with Ganthet. Ganthet tells Saint Walker to leave and that he will contact him later. Meanwhile, Kyle eventually gets the upper-hand against Natu, but when she's out of it, the rest of the group targets Kyle, but miss, blowing a hole in the door. Sinestro weakly explains they can't get the ring off his hand, and realizes they're there to kill him. The Guardians are furious with the intrusion and calls a meeting with the entire Corps.

The Guardians express their disappointment in the Corps and orders all but the Honor Guard and the Alpha Lanterns return to their home sectors. They also ask that Kyle returns to Earth to separate him from Natu and John for the time being. Guy says it's a good thing because he'll be able to check on Hal. Before he leaves though, several Green Lanterns decide to 'bury' Mogo by throwing his remains in one of Oa's suns. The result marks the star with Mogo's Green Lantern belt.

Elsewhere, Ganthet sends Krona's body to Atrocitus as part of a deal they had. It's not what they agreed to, but it's the best Ganthet can offer to prevent another War of Light, at least for the time being. The rest of the Guardians enter, but they are not concerned with what Ganthet just did wishing to discuss something else instead, as they approach him menacingly...

Really wondering what the Guardian have to "discuss" with Ganthet, since it appeared more like they were about to do something to him. An image for an upcoming issue of the New Guardians after the relaunch shows Ganthet attacking that group, making it look like perhaps he's being brainwashed by his fellow Guardians.

Natu and Kyle essentially break up in this issue, but the latest issue of Green Lantern Corps sorta covers it again by having the Star Sapphire that set them up abduct them in an attempt to save their relationship. It doesn't go well...

This issue still leaves a lot of unanswered questions. But then a lot of this seems to be setting up for events after the relaunch. One thing is clear though, although they are still a Corps, the Green Lanterns have been divided by these events.
