Yes. Strike Witches. It's a cute little anime that has a lot of fanservice, but surprisingly doesn't seem to care about it very much. I'd recommend checking out the first ep just to see what you think if you like the "alternative history" genre. |

The only anime I can think of that immediately comes to mind with that kind of subplot is Valkyria Chronicles and I know it's not that. I'm going to need more clues.
