With the final round looming, the Long Arm should be feeling a bit of pressure to get the bets awarded to the players. Gambit, however, was hardly one to feel pressure about much of anything. Waking from his nap, he ran the numbers in his head. Grabbing the money from his vault, he propped his spear up against his chair as he set out the bags of gold. Kashi had his separated into two bags, as the Shopkeep was already aware of what had transpired. A sign was placed out, reading "Steal and burn." His equipment had the skills to back it up, and the Vak stat the Long Arm boasted was off the charts.
I think he'll know which one goes where. ((Bets on Kiwi were multiplied by 1.7, as one third of the bets were placed on the right warrior. No other bets were made on the winning warrior.)) ---- "With this, the betting on the final round for the Upper Division is open. Bets may be placed on Kiwi or Lyra, up to 5,000GP. [The vaults are running a bit low with the insane payouts we've had...] Betting will be open for three rounds, as per the usual. The payout system will be the same as last round. The percentage of proper bets will be subtracted from 200%, rounded up, and your bet will be multiplied by the result. Once more folks, have fun!" Kiwi reads over the newest betting rules with an audible groan. Of course they would eventually clamp down on his profits, but it's a little absurd when one can only gain 3500 GP (or less) while risking the loss of 5000 GP. Those shopkeepers are clever as always...
