Class 1: Tea Leaves

Welcome to your first class of Divination, during which we will be studying tea leaves. It is important to remember that not all of you will find your Inner Eye straight away, so do not get frustrated and the magic will come to you.

If you post that you are entering late, points will be deducted from your house.

Jacob and Alexa were some of the first people into the classroom and they found seats quickly both a little unsure about the lesson ahead. Jacob was a little sceptical and Alexa was very interested in the subject, ready to dive in and hoping that she would be blessed with the ‘inner eye’ as it was sometimes called.

Zamber almost seemed to float into the classroom as she thought about a dream she’d had the previous night about cockroaches. She wondered for a moment if she was scared of the creatures but the thought of them didn’t even make her skin crawl. The only way she would really know if she came face to face with one, and she doubted that would happen soon.

Taking a seat she looked around the classroom, her mind returning to the present and a look of interest gleamed in her eyes as she took in the posters on the wall.

Dustin felt comfortable when he arrived in this class. He always felt that the Inner Eye is much more based on creativity than logic. He knew that in theater, most playwrights were creative and artistic people. Knowing that he was involved in theater, he was sure it will be easier for him.

Looking around the classroom, he tried to sense where he should sit down. But he could not use magic now to pick a seat. Rats, I should have tried it last night; he thought.
But Dustin just tried to guess the first thing that came up as a hunch. For some reasons, right or wrong, Dustin chose a seat near the front. Spotting Alexa, Dustin waved and tried to give a word of encourgement "You can do it. Just do not try too hard. This is not Law School."

Autumn walked into the classroom glad that she atleast remembered where the Divination class was located. It had been two years since she had been to Hogwarts due to personal and family issues. She was a nineteen year old seventh year but she did not let this discourage her. She was a Ravenclaw and had always been quick witted. Autumn hoped that being out of school for two years would not effect her school work.

She sat down near the front so she would be able to hear the professor clearly. The dark haired girl sat her book bag down next to her seat and waited patiently for the class to begin.

Dustin saw a 7th year Ravenclaw who sat on the front row. He smiled, thinking that probably she will be a serious student. He wondered if she and Alexa would both be Study Partners with him. But Dustin thought that it might not be possible. The only possible thing that could be possible is that Alexa will be study partners.

But Dustin attempted to have a conversation with Autumn before class started.
He said to her-- "Hi. I like being near or at the front row too. Miss."

Dustin turned back to reviewing his textbook material. The Professor haven't arrived yet. He hoped that the other two girls would try to converse with him. But Dustin guessed that his 'semi-bad boy' image hurt his chances. Finally he said in a normal voice ' I hope to focus on this as my career.'

Suddenly he was sure that he heard the doorknob turn at the door to the classroom. Dustin wondered whom was coming in next.
